- Blake 7| 1 replyThis time our Pakistani friends are using a female computer generated voice - now they are explicitly impersonating the IRS - to have you "or your retained attorney" to call us back - OR ELSE - same scam, but now they're actively impersonating the IRS.
- Caller: Scammers
- Call type: Debt collector
- PRoberts| 2 repliesI received what I believe to be an IRS Scam call from 415-234-9594, the man said his name was Mark Williams who claim to be a IRS Investigation Officer employee # 21750849. With what sounds like a Pakistan accent. I told him that I know the IRS does not use such ridiculous tactics and I was going to contact my local IRS office for confirmation. He claims that I have three violations and the the IRS will put a hold of my SSN, Bank Accounts and property. These people are a joke.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - Bill replies to Blake 7Today they left message on machine and when I called back it was someone would could hardly speak English and I started laughing so they cussed me out.
- Shiloh replies to PRobertsMy sister just received the same call threatening to seize all of her furniture today if she didn't pay 5k. I called asking standard questions that any valid collection would be able to provide and they continued to dance in circles feeding me ridiculous arguements but using super scare tactics. Total scam!
- Andre T.I just got the call but did not pick up. They left the same message from the looks of it. I called back from my work number which should come up on their end with my company name. No one picked up and the message box was full. If these people would work just as hard to getting a real job instead of scamming people they would probably be rich.
- Caller: James & Assoc, IRS rep
- Call type: Debt collector
- Mike DScam, I called the # 415-234-9594 back and they ask for all your information. The IRS would go about things just a little differently I think...
- Caller: IRS Officer
- VicPeteThe IRS would have any necessary information on you. Also, they would first contact you with a letter. My daughter received a call similar to this several years ago -- she called the number back and the first thing they asked for was her SSN. She hung up and then called her local IRS office. Of course, they had no record of any actions against her.
- roketrikFake IRS call
- J glassmanthere is a law suit against me and i need all identifying information...I asked what the law suit is about..could not give me an answer...when i said this is bull***it he got threatening and said swear all you want I am recording you..at that point i hung up

- SkepticalI received a call from this number and did not answer the phone. A woman left a message and basically said "you or your appointed attorney need to call right away to get this matter straightened out. You should not ignore this call. This is an important call. Have a very nice day." Rather ridicules. Did not say who she was, who she was calling for, etc. Didn't sound real. I am so sick of these calls!

- Slightly amusedI decided to call the call back number for fun (it's a slow day). A guy with a thick foreign accent (trust me I know, I'm foreign) claimed to be named Allen Parker. He asked me which phone number I was called at so I gave him his own phone number back. Twice. I told him I wanted to pay the fine. At this point he got frustrated and, I'm not making this part up, had the cajones to say "F you motherf'r you can leave it in your moms (such and such) and I will get it from there". Wow. As a younger "foreigner" it was interesting to hear this adult talk like this with such a thick accent.
- Caller: Claimed to be IRS

- Michigan residentJust got the call from this number, have also been getting other calls where the guy claims to have papers to serve me at my home or place of employment, or I could take care of problem dealing directly with the creditor, where I am sure he would try to get me to send him money. I have been served papers before, they dont pre arrange serving you...dah no one would ever be home...The IRS mails you paperwork and they would have all the information that the caller is asking for...These foreigners need to take a class on how things work here in America

- catherine wilfertI received an automated call claiming to be IRS and stating a callback should occur before they initiated prosecution. I called back and spoke to a person giving the name Robin Williams who claimed to be from the Criminal Investigations Dept at IRS. He spoke with an accent which may have been Indian. He confirmed my address and requested my lawyers name before proceeding with prosecution. I gave him no info, said I was calling my tax accountant and hung up.
