- Wise GuyIdiot called @ 8:27 AM and again @ 9:32 today Nov 15 2014. I blocked them on the first attempt and they were greeted with one ring and a hang up on the second ring. Panasonic phone still has over 100 numbers left to block. Nyuk Nyuk.

See: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Reiterate ... -Telephone-Scam - CJ PerkinsReceived a call claiming they are from the IRS.
- SprtygrlI received a recorded message from them and I returned the call and spoke with a gentleman name John Parker ID#1869438 and after he proceeded to tell me that i owed the IRS back taxes from 2009-2011 (over $9000) I drilled him on proper procedures and what not, blah blah blah...He then tried to tell me that the authorities would be a my door step within the hour with "all the appropriate papers" and would be taking me in to custody. I refruted the charges and kept drilling him on chain of events that weren't followed correctly, etc. etc. after about 20 minutes of my interogation he finally asked me "how do you want to resolve this issue? through the authorities or through him?" - when I told him that I needed more information from him - he actually hung up on me.
I tried calling back and when I told the operator that I would like to speak with John Parker ID # 1869438 as we were disconnected - the phone went dead. I have tried calling back 4 times, the first 3 times the phone just disconnecter. The last time no one answered. I guess that they will not call me again!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. ALL THEY GOT FROM ME WAS MY PHONE # (landline) and my name. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM!- Caller: IRS resolution call center

- Beth BThese people are ruthless, they are calling my home number and my cell... they say they are from the IRS and they want me to confirm my personal information to them.... I told them that if they were REALLY the IRS I would have received some sort of written correspondence.... she (in a think Indian accent) told me angerily that I could just wait until I got the letter with a law suit.... ARE THES FOLKS FOR REAL?
- Caller: IRS (but with a very thinck accent)
- gstrickI received a call from the said number stating that they were from the IRS trying to contact me before action was taken. This actually was a message they left on my answering service. Due to some phone problems I was not able to get right back to them. The call seemed pretty shady and pretty suspicious to me but when I did decide to call (thinking maybe it was a family member that they were trying to get a hold of) the phone rang, went to dead silence and then immediately hung up. So... maybe they've been shut down and caught as of 11-26-14. Or at least I sure hope so.
- Caller: Stated they were IRS
- Cookie SHave been receiving calls from this # for quite some time. Today, they called and left a message stating they were from the IRS and I needed to "urgently" contact a Julie or Judy Smith. Called back and some bimbo answered. I asked her what the hell she was doing calling my number and asked what she wanted. She asked for my name and I wouldn't give it to her. She said she didn't want anything from me and hung up. So....I did the honorable thing. I called them back nonstop for over two hours. They would either just hang up or my call would go directly to vmm. So....I'd either blow a loud whistle or ring a loud bell in lieu of leaving a message. Moral of the story is....if they can be annoying, so can I. This is a major scam and the government is doing nothing about it just like so many other things that are going on in our country!

- D ThakkarHello fellow victims!
I got a call from them and some [***] indian guy picked up claiming he was officer John Parker calling from the IRS??? id #1869233
I told them that I know the IRS number is not this! They claimed that they would have officers at my door step within the hour if I do not buy a 10 moneypaks from the nearest CVS for $500 each. They told me that they would stay on the phone while I drove to the CVS. I drove to the town police station, gave them the phone, and the "Officer Parker" was caught!!!! Thank the lord.
They wanted the last 4 digits of my taxpayer id and other information. When I told them that I do not feel safe giving that info over the phone, he told me that all my bank accounts and other stuff will be suspended.
Dont give them your name or anything, all they have is apparently your phone number. There is only 1 officer in the IRS? I called 4 times, it was always some indian guy in the indian accent. He can't even say IRS correctly!- Caller: IRS

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - Cookie SEVERYONE PLEASE READ! If you get a call from these morons keep calling back til you get to speak to one of them. Yank their chains and have fun. Drive them crazy! I spoke to some guy with a hindu accent. Told him I was looking for Julie Smith. He asked my name, I told him "Morta Della". He hung up. I called back and told him we were disconnected. I asked for Julie again and he said she had died. She had jumped off the balcony earlier today. Well, it's too long to write but I had a party with him. My parting words to this numb nuts were chosen words not suitable for posting.
