- BuckI got a voicemail saying they are from the I.R.S saying that I owed a dept and to avoid further legal action and fees
I needed to contact them now . all I got was a answering mach. I left them a message saying that I needed all the info so my attorney could get involved with this and haven't heard back . - JoJust got the same IRS debt automated message to call back immediately for a debt I don't have or I'd be arrested. They're really trying to get creative with the scams!
- SDLFirst received automated voicemail indicating legal action against me. Called the number back to confirm that it was a scam and could barely understand what the other party was saying. I simply said, "I'm returning a call from an automated message." He said that he needed the number where I received the automated message and when I asked why he needed that, he got agitated and said something like, "fine - you don't want to give me your number then you can expect legal action."
- HoustonBobThis fool is using Magicjack. Feel free to have their number taken down or, better yet, sue them. Many lawyers will be happy to take bite out of them and only charge you a percentage of the rewarded cash.
http://www.ymaxcorp.com/contact.html - KathyReceived a voicemail claiming it was a call from IRS officers, then 3 days later a guy called claiming to be an IRS officer claiming my taxes were red flagged and I owed a huge sum of money. I couldn't understand him so he put another guy on also claiming to be an IRS officer. Both gave badge numbers, employee code numbers, a case number and a warrant id number for me. It turned out to be an IRS scam
- Caller: IRS officers
- Roy FClaim they are the IRS. SCAM, the IRS does not make phone calls.
