Please be so good as to explain to the readers here what the scam is and how it is supposed to work.

All of the posts here indicate that people have received unrequested verification codes related to different businesses and nothing else.  An unneeded verification code is not a scam, it does not deprive one of anything of value, it is at most a minor inconvenience.

This is a case of codes being sent to the wrong number; most likely due to the person it was intended for having mistyped their own number while setting up an account with one of various companies that have been listed (which are outsourcing their IT support to the service that uses this number to send the codes).

Verification codes can be used as part of a scam, but it is usually scammers trying to break into an online account that you already have.  The code is sent from the account to you to verify that you were trying to access it.  The scammers will contact you (sometime before but always after the code is sent) and try to get you to give them the code claiming it is necessary because your account has a problem of some sort and they need it to resolve the problem.  If they get the code they take control of the account and do what they want with it.
However, none of the posters here (including yourself) have reported anyone requesting the code they received, so we know a scam is not being perpetrated on any of the recipients.

Be advised, I have received 3 texts from this number with verification codes all with different names on them, this time it was TEZPARK. These are information phishing texts from a random dialing system. Do not respond. Report it as spam, block the number and delete.
