Fraternal Order of Police scam....

I swear these guys change their number more than their underwear.
No point reporting them - the numbers they use are spoofed.
They call at least once per day. I guess this is another number I'm blocking.
This is getting tiring.

Wednesday 02 September 2015 -- 4:57 pm -- Caller ID said "San Francisc CA".  No message was left.  Checked several sites.  Majority of the comments say caller is posing as Fraternal Order of Police, and requesting donations.

Another scammer called and wouldn't speak to my machine. The caller id said 'Out of Area'. A reverse trace was blocked, no surprise there. Only scammers block traces. Three locations came up, two in San Francisco and one in Oakland California all using the service provider of Pac-West Telecomm. Only scammers hide by blocking their identity and address. A legitimate business doesn't hide or block. Block this number and report them to the FTC, FCC, BBB, State Attorney General to there is a record of its usage.

Caller ID shows San Francisco CA. Left no message. Number is now blocked.

Back Tracer is right! I have gotten calls from three of the five numbers he lists. These pricks keep on changing numbers. Well, here's another to block.

I answered but did not speak. Silence for a few seconds and then a disconnect.

The call comes from a San Francisco number as reported above and I have added it along with many, many others on my phone as blocked!  When will they stop?  Never... to answer my question which is depressing!!  It is interesting to read about others who have actually answered and have found out what they are scamming.  Thank you to those brave souls!

I don't think anyone even does legitimate phone solicitation anymore. If it is really important, they'll leave  a message.

I honestly cannot remember the last time a real company/organization solicited me via telephone; they all seem to use email or the actual post office.

And--of course--to represent this scam w/the police raising $ is pretty low. They risk their lives everyday, and hopefully put people like these folks in jail when possible. Fingers crossed :^)
