scam... sent text asking if I wanted to sell a house to him.  problem is, I don't own the house or even live in that city. name on text was "Keith"

Received (2) back to back texts with same message within both - “Hello, would you consider selling your parcel of land, in Sun Valley CA. I can pay cash, cover closing costs, and close in 3 weeks.” - Keith

Problem is “Keith,” that I don’t own any land in Sun Valley. Scam.

Same situation..received texts - as did my wife and stepdaughter

received the text message mentioned above, and he also called my cell and left a message. I called back because I didnt realize it was about this address. The message he left was vague. When we spoke, he said he was interested in purchasing the house on Culver. I told him i had nothing to do with it. sounds like some kind of scam.

I received text message below with a different street address and amount.  I reported the phone number to the FTC at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov  I also do not own the house at the address in the text message.

Hello, would you consider selling 123 Main St, Anytown, State. I can pay you $XX,000 cash and cover closing costs.

Yup, just like the others, THIS IS A SCAM!!! sending misc texts out to buy property that I have nothing to do with. Keith Sanders is the name he gives.

Received text message making an offer for property I don't own, also from "Keith Sanders."

"Hi,
Would you would be interested in selling 1234 Main St in City? Depending on the inside I could offer between $33,000 and $80,000 and cover closing costs.
Keith"
While someone I know happens to live at 1235 Main Street City but we aren't on the best of terms. When I responded, "No idea because I know who owns it but I am not talking to him." And then "Just curious, how did you get my number in connection to this property?" Then no reply from good ole Keith. At best, this guy has the worst lead list ever or it is vishy.

I do own this property and live at this address. The information was correct however the offered amt., in the amt of 200,000.00 was obviously a scam. Wish I hadn't opened the text. Now I worry!
