Called to my cell phone and no message left

I received a phone call today from this number.  A man with a middle eastern accent who stated his name was Sam Taylor wanted to send me a $20 Wal*mart gift card and a $50 gasoline voucher for a $2.00 shipping and handling charge.   He stated that they are a new company (although would not give me the name of the company) and that these gifts were mine completely free (except for shipping and handling charge of course) for using their discount purchase program for 30 days and then giving them my feedback about it.  If I didn't call after the 30 days, my credit card would be charged $19.99/month to continue the service.  They won't take a pre-paid credit card, or checking account information, must be a credit card with credit limit.  Sounds very much like a scam.  When I searched the telephone number, it stated it is unlisted/unpublished.  Please be cautious when dealing with this "company".

I no longer answer if I do not recognize the number. I to am grateful to be able to verify a legitimate number. :-)

Same thing happened to me today...called and hung up.  This number is in California?

looks like if you posted on craigslist they get the number from there. Can some one verify this

Get a call almost everyday at least once. First time was about a year ago, they knew my personal info. Now I just ignore it.
