Have no idea who this is

I called this number back and it says that it is some type of clearinghouse.  You can have your number removed if you call the above number back.  Don't know if it works or not, since I believe I got a call from this number before.  Anyway, thought I would share.

calls once a week for atleast 4 mo. opted out everytime..obviously doesn't work
some credit clearinghouse

they left a message on my cell phone and I deleted it after they said, "You have been selected to . . ."

I traced this number last Spring. It comes from a college campus in California. I guess it some students running a scam. I reported it to the local cops but nothing has happened.
