Because its a way for them not to have to work I used to work for a call center and if we were mad or not intersted in working we would make the call and act like we could not hear the other person on the line and just hang up! Yep its irrah!

Same here..... as soon as I said I wasn't interested he hung up without saying anything. I think he was in a coffee shop .....

They have called me about 6 times in the last 24 hrs, so i just called the number back and they should remove the number in 72hrs thats what the machine says anyway 415-363-5645 we'll see

Oh wow this just happened to me today

They call my cell phone several times a day but I only answered once after I got curious about who it was. No one answered me, after I said 'hello' 3 times. I almost cursed at them. When I asked who it was, they hung up. I called back and got a recording that said "You have been contacted for telemarketing, If you do not wish to receive these calls, enter your 10 digit number after the beep. If you want to participate..." I didn't listen to the rest and there was no beep. I just entered my cell number anyway (which they already had) and then the phone hung up. We'll see.

I find it very strange that they don't say anything when you answer, especially if it's a telemarketer. I have no idea what compant it is (referring to the box below). I also think a lot of these comments are bogus and posted by trolls. I really don't believe the ones who say they did answer back, especially claiming they said you were a h - e , . . . or that they asked your bra size! Get real!

Ok, they just called again, 13 minutes ago. This time a man did answer, so I was mistaken in my former comment. So, I have more information. Anyway, the man did have an accent like he was from India, I asked him to repeat himself several times and then just gave up, because I couldn't understand him even when he repeated. I asked what company he was calling from and he said Net Detective. I asked where he got my number and he said, actually, I couldn't really understand that part. All I could make out was "You...Walmart...site...free...gift card..."  I asked why he called me and all I understood was "You...get...$100 gift card...blah, blah, blah..."  I asked what I had to do to get it. The reason I didn't just hang up is because I was trying to get information to put on here. He said I didn't have to do anything, a package would just come in the mail FREE of charge. He said I'd receive $350, in 4 gift cards, the first for $100. I could spend them on anything and use them anywhere.  And then the catch: I'd have to make a one time payment of $2.95, or was it $2.45? It was one or the other. This payment was to be made after I received 'the package'.  I asked how I would pay this and he said I had to do it with either a credit card, bank debit card or Walmart money card. When I told him I had none of these cards, he seemed shocked. He proceeded to ask me 4 times if I had any of these cards and could I just get a Walmart money card. I replied 'no' each time and finally, he said 'thank you for your time'. I shouted 'wait' and asked him to remove my number from the list. He didn't say anything for several moments, then, I remembered what "Dylan" said on here so I said 'please?' and he hung up!!  ???

Same thing with me. They call...i answer...they hang up. Message says press on to be put on the do not cal list and then they call me even more. Eleven times today alone.

I forgot, he told me he'd give me a verification code and every time he explained something, he said "Okay?" It sounded like a lot of people or noise in the background.  Also, VERY IMPORTANT: I noticed that every time 4153635645 called my cell, the home phone started ringing at the same time - but I didn't look at the caller I.D. on the home phone yet. I'm sure it's the same number. I did ask the guy if he just called my home phone and he said no. What I should've done was to ask him if someone else from his company just called my home phone. I also should've asked his name so we could see how many people get the same guy. I have a feeling these calls will never stop. I'll have to get another cell phone. I'm not sure what I did online but I will NEVER 'like' another site that offers something again. :(

Now that I think about it, it's good that they are calling my home phone because I can do something about it besides reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Verizon has a service called anonymous/harassing caller. Just look in the front of your phone book, before the blue pages, where there's a list of the phone company's services such as 3-way calling, call forwarding, etc. You have to call the phone company and tell them to activate this service. Then, every time this number calls, you push *67 or another code immediately after hanging up. If you make a call first or someone calls you first, it won't work. This code sends that phone number to Verizon, along with the date and time they called you. After 5 of these calls are recorded, Verizon sends the police to them.  Also, they'll change your number if you want, free of charge for one time only, if you are being harassed. I hope I've helped.

Since I filled out a questionaire for a "free Iphone" and listed my phone number, my
cell phone has not stopped........stoopid ME !!!   The numbers are 205.376.0190, 347.431.0384,
313.375.5815, 714.988.0124, 714.782.0601, 850298.8511, and 415.363.5645.

I dont answer phone numbers not in my directory nd they never leave a message !

I  would like to see those harassing callers  sued for harassment

This number calls me at least 20 times a day, i usually do not answer but the couple times that i have no ones has said anything and the line has went dead and when i call it back its either busy or it sends me to some bogus voicemail box thats full.

Well, I called the phone company today about this number just to find out they no longer have that service I mentioned in my earlier post.  :(  I can always get a new cell phone, it's only a Tracfone, but they are calling the home phone too, several times a day and it's upsetting my mother. They call my cell phone and the home phone at the same time. She's had the same phone number for 30 years (home phone) and she doesn't want to change it because all her friends and family know it by heart. These people are really awful!! You'd think that they wouldn't keep calling after I told them I didn't have a credit card.

Got the same call twice today from the Indian man. I just blocked the number. I'm pretty sure you can call your provider and ask that the number be blocked. If you have verizon you can just go on the website and add it to the blocked numbers list.

i have been getting calls all day from this number i dont answer because i dont know who it is so i thought i would look online to see who it is now i know they have been bothering other people as well. they need to stop calling.

This # calls me numerous times per day. Sometimes they call, I pick up and then they hang up. I get missed calls from them, and I even called it back private and it says that it will remove my # from their list in 72 hours....they keep calling. Today, I finally got an arabian to talk when I answered, He said that I was a winner of a $100 gift card from Wal Mart and they would send it to me. I asked how I was chosen as a "winner". He said from shopping @ Walmart, and rambled off a whole buch of other stores I never heard of. I asked him to repeat himself several times, but he just kept on talking.I asked him what the catch was. No catch, just pay $2.95 after I receive it in the mail. I tested him by saying that I would send a money order and he replied by saying that it had to be some form of plastic...VISA or MASTERCARD. I poobed him until he told me the name of his company...net detecteve located in Phoenix Arizona and his name is Steven Paul. I told him do not send this card to my house and asked him if he understood me. He then hung up. A few hours later, I was @ my boyfriends house and he was on the phone with his brother and another called beeped in. When he looked, it was my # calling him. I showed him my phone with the screen saver display. Too wierd....are these two things connected???
