calls all hours day and night usually hangs up

I recieved a call from someone at this number 415 373-6980. They asked if I was Christine H_ _, I said I would be happy to tell them if I knew who they were. The caller was rude in tone and words. His name, he said, was Andree (I don't know anyone by that name). He said, among other things that it was "none of my business" who he is or where he calls from.

The caller ID said AIS services. I thought it was perhaps someone from the car insurance company called AIS (auto insurance specialists). I already have insurance and would never change as my coverage is too good. But this wasn't about that.

I would like to report this as harassment and hope they don't call any more - or if they do then they behave with decency.

p.s. My best guess is this is a debt collector but I don't know for sure as I could not get any info. My credit report is clean with no debt. Many (more than 15 years) ago I had some debt. My medical situation prohibits me from doing anything about this issue.

It's AIS, "The Collection Agency". Yeah, I owe a debt and if you don't like it...you can try calling me to.

I, initially, would save their numbers and then set those numbers ringtones to silent but they've apparently launched operation "shock and awe" and now use any...I guess limitless numbers including numbers WITH YOUR AREA CODE, private, etc. Now, I just set my phone on silent altogether and I love it so much I may just keep it like that forever...heh.

If they manage to reach you, do not give personal information, don't tell'em where you work, or live, and by no means do not give them your debit card info. If they can get you to just make a small $50 payment they now have a wealth of information as well as having you: reset your statue of limitations on debt, entered into a contract with AIS.

They left a message only:  888-920-1300 - don't have any idea what this means.  I also got a call the day before from that phone number (888 above) with the same message, same recorded number.

These are debt collectors and I'd be very careful if you answer and what you say. They will hound you
for these charged off debts.

There are so many of these "Dummy Numbers", computer-generated calls...automated voice mails that leave a message about someone else that I do not know on my private business cell phone, it is beyond rediculous and if you blindly answer the phone then they try and interrigate you...most of them speak broken English at best...they are convinced they have the correct number/person and are relentless...THIS IS BEYOND OLD!!!!!
