i  received the exact same message 3x on Saturday Nov 1st starting at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM and 2:30PM. "This is Internal Revenue Service, My name is Julie Smith. Have your attorney or you call before action is taken against you.  This is  This is time sensitive.  Do not ignore this call.    My divsion hot line 1 415-506-1282.  i repeat  1 415 506-1282.  Good-bye and take care".

This is a total scam! the guy even admitted to me he was trying to scam me and get my personal information!

Got them as well today. 2 msgs 10 min a part. Hoped it was a scam!

This is a scam and just know that the IRS NEVER phones people.They send letters out only.

Yes I got this message from Julie Smith and It also said "please have the retained attourney on file call back", which was freaky to me because I do have a retained attorney on file . So I thougt it was legit. Any body else got that message too? if not I am concerned about where these fraudsters are getting their info?  Thank ypu all for reporting here. ican sleep now.

We received numerous calls from this number.

I got a call today on my cell phone--415-506-1282 with the same message. Since the reception was bad at my location, I hung up. However--since there was a bit of curiosity as well as a bit of fear that it might really be the IRS--I called the number back when I changed my location. I actually got a person--a male who sounded like he was from India or somewhere like that (he was definitely foreign like the guys you get at night for computer or cable tech support). He said I would be arrested within 2 hours and he needed my attorney's number to fax over the arrest warrant documents and so the attorney could make bail arrangements Very scary, indeed! Now that I have Googled this number (reverse phone number) and discovered this call is indeed a Scam, as my brain suspected, I know why the guy finally hung up on me--I was asking too many detailed questions and he started to worry that I was having his number traced. Wow, what a wasted 3 hours of energy--and by the way, I wasn't arrested as he kept repeating I would be within 2 hours, thank God! Hope this helps.

I received 3 calls to saying they were from the IRS and if I did not call them further action will be taking. The number that I was told to call back is 415-506-1282. The person name I was to ask for was Officer Julie Smith.  Not until I looked up this number and seen all theses comments theses people have nothing better to do with there time.  This is def a SCAM and I will contact my local police department

The call said, "This is a call from the Internal Revenue Service, Please do not ignore this call or we will be forced to take action against you."

Yesterday I received at least 6 call from this number from Novato, CA. When I answered the man said it was from IRS , that I could not keep paying in installments !!!! if i didnt pay right away he was sending the Police as we were talking to take me to JAIL!!!! It was SOOOO abusive that I hung up and call  IRS right away,

they called me three times today with a threatening message. saif they were from the IRS. Accused me of seven years of unpaid taxes criminal penalties...threatened 2 years prison and arge criminal penalties. please IRS do something about this

Got the same call twice on landline phone, about 10 minutes apart. Scam - I know IRS does not operate in that manner.

Thanks for the info.  I had several messages on my Mom's phone (a senior citizen) from Officer Julie Smith from the IRS from 415-506-1282 as well.  It's always good to see others with the same experience and hear that it is a scam.  It's such a scary place out there at times.
