Was dumb enough to answer this call thinking it was a call I was waiting for.  Same caller id as other folks: STNSN BLNS CA.  The same police organization spiel too.  I also got the guy with the southern accent,  could be a Northern Appalachian accent.  Told them sorry couldn't afford it.

Received the same police pledge drive call, I sure its a scam like all unidentified calls these days.  Was equally rude back and hung up.

Yep. Received call at 5:48 pm on June 11.  I did not answer but looked up number and here I am.  This happened a few years ago and I answered that call with person asking for donation for police.  The conversation got heated on both sides.  The guy asked if he could send me a request for donation with return envelope, and would I contribute, then he asked if I would put a donation on my credit card.  He got nasty when I said no.  My phone number is listed, but no address.  I am in SF peninsula.

I accidently answered because I thought it was someone else.  A very demanding man (name I don't remember) started talking before I could say anything.  I hung up on him.  He was soliciting money for police or firemen.   The FOP web site looks legit but I don't trust any charities  any more.  The Do Not call list does not pertain to charities; they can call your number.  The Do Not Call list doesn't work anyway.  I have been on there for  six years and I still get telemarketing calls.  Reporting these calls does no good; they just put it on a national law enforcement list and no one pays any attention to it.

Some guy with a Hill billy Appalachian accent sounded like he said he wanted to police my daughter if I donated today...

Corn prices have rose so much they can't make MoonShine anymore, so now they call saying they work for the Police and want your donations,
And you may be right about wanting to do something with your daughter.

Call from Stinson Beach.  I am very familiar with this town, very expensive and about an hour northwest of San Francisco.  Hard to imagine a telemarketer from here but I guess anything is possible.

Have them blocked now.

Guy certainly sounds like a copy, but why a group in California, claiming to support California LEOs, call Arizona soliciting for donations?  LOL. I hung up.

looked up cafop.org on senderbase and the servers show they are located in Mexico. Not good.

The phone number was listed as 415-534-0208; the caller simply said ERIC THORNTON. The area code is of course the San Francisco Bay Area; can't tell if it spoofed or not.  I have donated to my local police before and they sell/share (without your permission, knowledge or even notification) your name phone etc with other local police departments and national law enforecement agenices like FOP.  I wouldn't give them a dime now, unless they sent a solicitation in the mail.  As well, they hire professional telemarketeer company to make the calls, so I you talk to one, it won't be a police or fire officer, but some poor slob working in a call center hot house somewhere.

This guy is all over the internet.    Immediatley take the time to file a complaint with both the FCC and the DO NOT CALL registry.    Both have online forms if they do their job and go after him.   Three calls from this idiot----this has to be fraud.
