Received a call today at 4:51 PM eastern time from Credit Card Services re lowering my interest rate. This is at least my 20th call from this scam company. They were just ordered by the Federal Courts (last Week) to cease and were shut down. Apparently they are in violation of the court order. I suggest anyone receiving a call from this comapnt file a report with the Federal do not call  (FCC) http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION

I can not even count how many times this number calls me or my cell, or all the other numbers they use. I now press whatever number it is to talk to someone and when they answer the phone, I wait until they are done with their speal and are waiting for me to answer them and then I blow a whistle in their ear VERY loudly. Maybe we should all try that. Make em all have hearing problems and they may finally stop.  I actually look forward to them calling now so I can blow my whistle.

Got a call from this number 415-825-6626 today.  Reporting them to the FTC will do no good.  Reporting them to the attorney general will likely have no effect.  Putting your number on the Do Not Call list is likely not going to be effective at all. The reason?  CONGRESS allows direct marketing.  Companies can buy your information for MONEY! Then, they are allowed to pester you.  Same for insurance, surveys, etc.  We missed a great opportunity today, BLACK TUESDAY, November 6, 2012.  I voted AGAINST ALL INCUMBENTS for this exact reason! Direct marketing, and for a host of other reasons also.  But, if everyone would report these numbers and WORRY your elected leaders, from county and city commissions. to your state legislature to CONGRESS to PRETZELDENT.  They are here to "serve" you and me.  Lets let them do it! And, be clear!  If they continue to even ALLOW direct marketing, they will not get our vote!  I did that today and I am happy about it even if the "let's give 'em one more chance" mentality puts them back I still did what I feel best about.

This number call my home multiple times per week, sometimes several times a day. I have tried several times to be removed from their list but it never works. Operators hang up on me when I ask to have my number removed.

I keep trying to block these calls but they must change numbers frequently. This is a major nuisance and I suspect it is a scam to get personal information.

The FTC just took down 5 of these scum suckers. Obviously they have more to go.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
    1.    Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list.
    2.    Consider blocking the number
    3.    Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
    4.    Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
    5.    People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office.
Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).

I have greatly reduced the number of calls to my cell phones by going to my carriers website (Verizon) and they allow me to block up to 5 numbers for 90 days. Since these scum change numbers every 30 I have had a very peaceful time. Call me once shame on you, call me twice shame on me. I also put it in my contacts list under Scum Suckers and assign it NO ring tone so at least after the first call they won't bother me anymore (I have filled all of the numbers in each and am up to Scum Sucker 47 now). This is only a whack-a-mole solution however it is the only one I can offer.
The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them nothing and they can make a million of them a day so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.
If you want to stop these calls then you need to dry up their revenue source. Your phone company is charging you a fee for caller ID. Your phone company pays the scammer for sending their caller ID information. Your phone company pays only a fraction of a cent per call and you pay $5 to $15 to your phone company. The scammers send out millions of calls per day which amounts to a significant amount of money however your phone company is charging a large amount to millions of customers. This may have something to do with the phone companies inability to stop these calls. You can also see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.
In order to stop this we need legislation making it illegal to charge for caller ID. If a phone service wishes to operate it would need to provide the caller ID at no charge to other phone providers and to it's customers as part of the service. Here is the $50,000 solution that the FCC is looking for and it doesn't cost anything.
Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with Federal Felonies and subjected to significant jail time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. These same people under different companies have been sued in the past and have only paid a minimal fine. The government needs to go after them using the RICO act. That will be the only effective means of dealing with this.
Here is an excellent blog site that I found that explains how one company is getting away with this activity.

MARSHMALLOW MAN replies to VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT
I hear you, dear. You are sincere, and I know you mean well. But I don't think it matters a Tinker's D*m who's in congress or the White House. Voting the incumbents out would just put in a fresh roster of incompetents. Neither the DIMMER-CRANIUMS nor the REPULSIVE-CANS will do anything to help us; they are far too busy fighting each other and playing their fiddles while Rome burns.

This particular scammer called me again. They call every week or so from a different number.

Why would I be stupid enough to do business with a company that is violating the law? Why would I trust them?

This is the 31st different phone number that Account Services has called me from this year.   I have
reported all of them to the FTC (federal no call list) and they have done absolutely nothing.  These federal
agencies are a joke and our president delights in creating more of them.
I plan to keep reporting them to see if I can get up to 100 phone numbers reported at which time I'll send the data to my senators and congressman.
