Got 2 calls from 416-000-1396 today about my factory warranty running out...I'm a rogers customer and this is one of the first time i've been hit by something like this.

Damn telemarketers!

These (416) 000-XXXX numbers are actually Spoofed Numbers. This is what I got from another website:

Spoofed Number: Caution, 416-000-3194 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.

Got a call on my cell (TELUS, OTTAWA, ON) on friday morning. It telling me I could lower my interest rate on my credit card.

I've received calls on my Rogers cell from 416-000-1396 and 4160007954...both times leaving 2 second messages sounding like rap music or random dialing from someone walking on a street.  I called back on landline and both numbers have an automated operator that says the number cannot be completed as dialed.  How do I block these numbers?

As soon as I see the numbers '000' on my phone, I will not answer it.  So annoying.  I'd like to strangle the person responsible for doing this.  I can't imagine that anyone would be stupid enough to listen to their bogus calls, and take them up on their scam offer.

I've had six calls in the last ten days or so from this "car warranty expiration" group (416-000-1396) on my Rogers phone here in southern Ontario. Would REALLY like to get rid of this annoyance.

im getting the exact same number calling my cell, just called now...its pretty annoying

Received a call just now on my cell. My Rogers wireless account does not have caller ID and no voice mail. But the number was identified, which is surprising because it is definitely not in my address book.
Rogers offers to block tel numbers on wireless for a fee, with Call Manager (?).

Annoying calls on all our Rogers cell phones. Also # 1-416-000-5319 and some # from the States. Rogers should protect their customers better!

I had exactly the same call. i tried to remove myself off their list by pressing 2, but a different number calls me! Its been like this for.. 2 weeks...

Also got this on a Rogers phone at 12:45 on Feb 23.  About the 6th call I've received in the last month with the annoying warning about car warranty expiring.  Doesn't always come from this number; sometimes comes from an 800- number.

Got two calls today from 416-000-1396 on my ROGERS phone. Tried rtn, nothing. Did reverse lookup - nada, thank god for google and this post, now I know it is an annoying telemarketer. I also rx'd the same call for expired warranty for my car on my home phone that I also have with rogers. Is there a way to block the number on the cell phone ?

This automated call is from The Choice Warranty company out of St. Louis. I was getting tired of them ringing all three phones I have, two of which are cells. So I took it far enough to get to their Sales Team and when they though they were close to getting my credit card number I was able to get a number to call them at and even an extension. I called right back, asked for a supervisor and had my numbers removed from their database. Here you go... 800-559-0408 ext 3211

4160001396 3:33 pm 23 feb called my Cell, 6168054512 called me, at 6:00 ! on the same day. I think Solo Mobile, sold me out. how else would they get my number? and they called my parents.

Thanks for posting, got the calls today, 416-000 9:30 am, and 2ishpm.  Didn't answer since it looked strange, no message was left.  I googled tonight to see if anyone else had the same thing--thought it was telemarketing as well.  Had some of the insurance calls from the USA but never 416.  Registered on the DNCL--thanks!
I am on Rogers--amazing that we have to do this.

I find it interested this just started after Christmas, and all these postings are from Rogers, not the other providers.  My calls started from all different numbers in California, now this 416 number. Maybe Rogers has something to do with this.

I have a Bell cellphone and I get these calls too

I'm getting these calls once everyday. I haven't picked up once, but they still keep calling. I'm with koodo, so it's not just the rogers providers that are getting it. It's so frustrating though because even though I don't pick up they still keep calling! Has the 800-559-0408 ext 3211 worked for anyone? I haven't tried it, but I'm getting so frustrated with the amount of calls I'm getting from them...

I keep getting phone calls on both my home phone and cell phone from all of these 416-000-####'s and its becoming very annoying.  I pay for my phone for my use and emergency's, not to help some idiot do their annoying job.  They should realize that in some cases it costs the recipient money for the calls that they make to their cell phone.   I hope some of them read these messages and learn to BACK OFF!!!!

I have been receiving calls from 416-000-1963 for days now. I don't answer as it seems like a bogus number. They're coming to my Bell cell, and never leave a message. Grrr...bothersome!
