416-000-1396

Received call on my Rogers cellphone from 416-000-1396 at 9:27 AM EST on Monday, February 23, 2009. This is the fourth "416-000" number that I have received in as many weeks, the others being from "416-000-5876", "416-000-7935", and "416-000-3196". Whitepages.com, an on-line phonebook, has nothing on this phone number and, yeah, I am starting to think these numbers are randomly generated by some device to create faux phone numbers to go with the "416-000" prefix. Annoying.

I got a call from this number at 9:24am EST on my Rogers cell phone. I answered it because I am expecting a call from 416 area code today and did not notice the "000" which I doubt is a valid exchange. It was a final notice about a car warranty expiring.

I have received several "car warranty expiring calls" over the past few weeks but first time from 416. Previously, they were calling from varous U.S. phone numbers and area codes.

This is annoying and each cell call costs me money (even the free minutes I no longer have). I would ask Rogers to cancel the charges but the Rogers bill does not identify an incoming phone number. I got into it with them before to identify business versus personal calls. My cell phone only carries ten numbers at a time, and only one occurrence of the same number, so one would have to track the numbers manually to track when and how often they call to sync up with the bill. Rogers says not identifying the number incoming calls is a privacy matter. Ironically, my work cell on Bell identified the numbers.

I have received 000-000-0000 on my landline so I blocked it. I wonder if Rogers offers a call blocking feature on cell phones. If so, I would gladly exchange it for one of the other services I rarely use.

Got a call from this number (416-000-1396) a few minutes ago, also on my Roger's cell (has a 416 number), was an automated outgoing message about a warranty expiration.

It happened to me today as well.  They called my cell phone.  I let it go to voicemail, where they left a voicemail about my car warranty expiring.  Annoying.

I got a call from 416-000-1396 on my Rogers Cell Phone today. I've noticed this type of area code followed by 000 "attacks" Rogers Cell Phone customers, I don't bother saying hello to hear a reply, I usually ignore the call not knowing who it is or where it comes from. Its quite annoying.

Both numbers provide the same message.

Have received a few calls from this 416-000-1396 on my Rogers cell phone since January 2009.  Always about some bogus car warranty expiring.  Did not press a key to talk to an operator as they requested.  I was hoping that they would take my number off their list as I have not been responding to their calls, but no luck.

call from 4160001396 about car warrenty about to expire.  About the 4th call I've received like this, always leaves automated message on my cell phone answering machine.

I pressed 1 and asked to be removed from their list. they said they'd add me to their do not call list. Hope that works i've gotten a lot of these calls

I have also been recieving these calls. I talked to an annoyator last week and asked why i was getting these calls and explained I had no car. He told me I would be put on the no call list but just got a call from this #. I dont think rogers would have to try to hard to give a service that allowed users to put in phone numbers they wish to be blocked.

I received 2 calls from 1 416-000-1396 to my rogers phone TWICE today. 9:30am and 2:00pm. I dont bother answering becaue what number has 000 in it and I called it back and it doesn't even exist.No messages or anyhting are left. This is riduclous. It has happened the last 4 days now!

I'm not taking the calls.

How pathetic that my private cell phone number has been compromised to such an extent. . .

I received my fifth call in a week about ten minutes ago. I was going to press 1 to speak to an operator, but then reconsidered as it may force a re-dial to a long distance number - I don't even know if this is possible. Anyhow, I don't even answer it anymore. They never leave messages.

Already told them not to call me...called me back again
