i don't have a car im on rogers cell and my store landline is bell got a call too.

I am with Rogers wireless.  They have called my cell and my husbands to offer a warranty on my husbands vehicle which is a 1996 truck and I never had a waranty on it.  I have heard that some people (companies) have the ability to actually change the phone number that will be displayed on the phone which I believe is true as I have had my number displayed as well as 123-456-7890

Got one of those as well 5 minutes ago on my company's cell phone.

it's a scamm... dont call back ;) all of my friends and people i work with get these calls all the time ....

got a call from this number feb 17, but didnt answer. made the right decision thankfully. ive been getting calls from california (919), virginia (571), and now 416 #'s and from what i read they're all scams. i dont know how this started happening to me but i dont like it im going to try and have these numbers blocked im with telus so hopefully they can do this for me.

Just had this call at the same time 2 days in a row. I'm with Bell not Telus and I've also had calls from California and the south US all in the past month. I never used to get ANY telemarketer calls up until quite recently. Never put my cell # on the "do not call" registry either!

How they get our numbers:  They use an auto dialer that will start with an area code and a 6 digit number and go from 1-9 with the 7th number, then bump the 6th number up one and repeat the previous step and so on.  With an auto dialer it's possible to reach millions of people.  

The originator of these calls does not have any of your personal information. They've reached you by chance. Do not pick up if you can help it.  If you do pick up DO NOT FOLLOW THE PROMPTS.

I've been called by this number twice so far today, twice yesterday and a handful of times in the past couple of weeks.

I just received a call from this number. I answered and they hung up. This has been hapenning for the last week. How do they get these cell phone numbers anywase...? And if its for "Car insurence"... I don't even own a CAR! This is very annoying!

oh yeah i forgot im with rogers and ive also been getting calls from some place in MD (im assuming thats Maryland?, or however it may be spelled, in the states)

I have received 2 of these calls, both saying the warrantee on my vehicle has expired There was an option to connect (1) or be deleted from the follow up (2) I chose (2)

I have no new vehicles. My cell account is with Bell mobility.

Recieved this call on my cell- didn't answer. And have been getting the car warranty crap on my home lan-line daily for weeks now.

Has anybody put their cell number on myhood.ca or viewit.ca?

I just spent some time over the weekend lookin for apartments and put my name down in a couple of these sites along with my cell to be reached during the evening.

This is the only explanation I could have for this, maybe someone has set up a false listing that takes your number and adds it to an autodialer?

We are all in or around the GTA, assuming because of the 416 number.

I answered, said hello a couple times, then hung up.

All you have to do is listen to the stupid message and when prompted, press 2. They will not call you back again. Otherwise, they just keep calling. It has nothing to do with your carrier, your car or anything else. It's a junk phone message. But listen to the message, press 2, and they won't call back.

Got calls from 416-000-**** two days in a row now. I'm with Rogers, but it doesnt look like it makes a difference. Before this, I got calls from other California area codes. I am curious as to how they got my number.

I may have put my number on viewit.ca a very long time ago...I doubt it is up there anymore.

I think this is a junk call.

okay just got a call from them, didnt pick up cause i have been receiving a couple of calls per week now,

I'm with Telus and I just got a call from them. They even left the robot-message on my answering machine! Damn, what the hell!
