Just received call from this number on my cell phone.  Did not answer - did not leave VM.

I got a call from this number on my cell just today. I didn't answer it. It left an automated message about having my car insurance renewed and this was the final call about it. Only, I don't own a car! At the end of the message it says to press 2 to be removed from the call list but that doesn't work (on my phone at least). I'd like to know where they are getting our cell numbers from =[

I received a call from this number at 9:46am EST. I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the number. I thought it odd that an area code would be followed by 000... No message was left on my voice mail, and I haven't received a call from that number ever before.

same as last talking about factory car insurance expiring

same, i pressed one and told to operator that "i don't have any of this staff and don't call to this number again, Danke."

This is the second time I get a call from this number
again re: Car extended warranty
This time I pressed 1 and it simply hung up ???
Not sure what it is doing, but will be following up with phone company

just received phone call as well, no message, junk againm how they target individual cell lines??? or does anybody know how to block them??

I didn't answer, neither should you. After learning my lesson, I don't pick up anymore when I don't recognize the numbers. I've been getting calls on my cell from many different numbers for the past month, they're ALL about final notice of expiry on a car warranty (which is a clear scam - I know my warranty isn't expiring and according to the news, not only is the automated message calling illegal, these third party extended warranty offers are so misleading that thee companies are being sued by many local state governments).

The numbers showing on callerID change each day, but it's always been the same automated scam message.

Just don't pick up anymore and definitely don't press any buttons (that just lets the scammers know your number is active).

I have been getting the same calls from a number of different numbers as well.  The best thing you can do when you are not sure if the number is legitimate is to answer the call but do not say anything (just listen).  The auto-dial systems these companies use only connect you to an "agent" when they hear something on the line.  If you dont say anything they wont connect you and will hang up after about 10 seconds.  

A real person calling will say something generally if their call is picked up but no one says anything on the other end of the call.

I agree.  I received a call today from this number as well.  DO NOT PICK UP, that gives it away that it's a valid number, and DO NOT put your cell number on the CRTC Do Not Call list either.  Cell phone numbers are never given out.  It could be an automated dialer calling all of these numbers.

got a call from this number this morning... it woke me up... not impressed, but did not answer since other than the area code, the first of the phone number was 000....

Same as everybody says some car insurance crud. I greatly dislike these types of calls and I've been getting them more frequently both on my cell and home phone. There's one about a boat cruise, and some other crud out there, it just ticks me off.

Feb 16 @ 16:30 EST ... almost drove off road as thought it was work calling to find out if I was okay since I was to be back by 16:00 (yeah like work woulda cared).  Didn't answer when I saw the number.

Is it related to ROGERS ?  My bell cell hasn't received any thankfully!

I got the same calls! they called me freaking 3 times already with different numbers!!!

I also received calls from 416 000 5496, 416 000 5319 & 416 000 5546.  Two of the three calls i answered and received no resonpse.  

I received the car insurance call as well but it was from a 1-800 number, i just hung up.

I contacted my cell phone provider and the only option they offered me was to change my phone number.

I guess I'll just have to ignore the calls.
