This is a scam. be careful before providing information

I don't have a car, so it was obviously false.  When they asked for my information, I pressed them for some identifying information about their company.  They announced that 'Warranty Services' is the name of the company, and refused to state anything else.  When they continued to announce that the call is for my sake, I told them that they must realize how shady it sounds for them to demand my information without prompting, and they quickly announced that they'd add me to the do not call list, and hung up before I could get any more out of them.

Same thing, called me on my work cell and my personal in calgary.  Said they were warranty services and it was about my warranty on my car.  I asked which car and they said that it was the one in the database.  I pressed to see what car and he said he didn't have that info as it was confidential.

I asked who employeed him to call me about this extended warranty and he abruptly told me that he would put me on a do not call list.  I pressed again to see who employeed him to call me and he hung up on me.

Just got the call display on my Calgary home phone. Looked fishy. I did not pick it up.

got a call today, i just picked up and then hung up right away so they would get the hint and not call back.  I didn't recognize the number. Ever since I registered on Canada's do not call list, ive gotten several different mysterious callers from different places..416..509...949...

Just got call with a computer prompt indicating my vehicle warranty was up and this was the final notification to renew.  Prompted further by pressing #1 and an annoying female voice came on representing "Warranty Services".  She wanted to ask a few questions, but I interrupted and told her I was to ask her a few questions.  She was aggressive and rude and wouldn't let me speak so I told her to "Do not call this number!"  She replied in a sarcastic manner, "That's not a question!" I yelled back, "How did you get my number?!"  "You f*#%#% b**#$%!" She hung up.  I guarantee you that they will not call my # again.

Got a call on my cell (Calgary, Roger's wireless).  Ignored it because I figured it was another scam.  I've had 4 calls, all from numbers associated with the automotive warranty scam.

I recieved a call this afternoon but was not home let me know if anyone finds out where they are or who they are?an internet address? because I will send them annoying calls every two minutes and when they answer I will virus their computer or phones whichever comes first.I am tired of them THE "CRAZY WOP"

416 000 7931 just called my Girlfriends Telus Cell phone.     Second call in 5 days. she did not answer.

I was at work when that number called me on my cell. I was busy so it went to voice mail and to my surprise whoever it was left a message. I listened to the message and only heard about 2/3 of it because the automated voice started talking before my voicemail started. Like the people above me it was about the car warranty scam so I had no intention of calling it back. I guess I shouldn't be surprised if they call me back a couple more times.

brother in law received call on his edmonton solo cellular phone from this number - did not answer

This is a scam.  They ask you for your credit card number and tell you that you can get your car serviced at any garage in the city but they won't let you call to confirm the information. They say that they need payment first.

A radio station busted them last week..the number called a person who happened to work at the station.  the person told this scrammer the call was being recorded and it was going to be aired...of course they hung up.

My wife received this on her cell phone, too, the other day.  She thanked them and hung up (her warranty is really up :-) .

I've been receiving the same number on my cell phone for the past week, every day.  416-000-7931 and now today 416-000-7463.  So far, I haven't answered it, and they don't leave a message.

This number calls me nearly daily as well. I just click ignore.  Any 416 number that comes up goes to ignore without even answering because of repeat issues.

Yeah I just got a call from them too (also in Calgary).  I don't pick up unknown numbers, and they didn't leave a message.

416-000-3149 called girlfriends Telus cell. same car warranty scam. When I lied and said we had more car they said they put on do not call list and hung up.

Received calls from 416-000-4619 & 416-000-7931.  Got hung up immediately whenever the phone is picked up.  Tried not answering and the callers wouldn't leave any message. Tried calling back but those were not valid numbers.

I got 2 calls in one day from these people, I answered the second on Feb 18/09 a 2:50pm. I was a answering machine saying my vehicle warrenty has expired. I bought a new VW and got financing for it less than a month ago. And I know I have warrenty on it for the next 4years. I really hope the dealership isnt giving out information
