Got same call feb 18th at 10:21am.  "second and final warning...." auto warranty.  

Pressed 1 and I spoke with Anthony.  Asked him how he lives with himself scamming people, and taking their money.

He said it's not a scam and some article was retracted??  At least I kept him on the line for a few minutes swearing at him so he couldn't scam others during that time.  Just doing my public duty.

Multiple calls on my cell over the last month.  I'm with mobility.  Finally pressed 1 today (Feb 20, 2:15pm) to try and find out who this company is but she wouldn't give anything other than Warranty Services - no other info.  Told them to put me on do not call.  

Similar scam not too long ago where they were saying it's a warranty, but actually trying to get you to buy insurance (why?).

416-000-8972,416-000-7931, calling my Cell# every other day.  I'm with Telus so it's not just Rogers.

I got about 20 calls from this number.

It's a known scam and is very annoying. It also seems to be somewhat destructive.

Today at around 2:30pm they called my phone but i was unable to answer and hang up, it went to voice mail AND LEFT A MESSAGE.

late tonight, i went to delete it and it was IMPOSSIBLE to delete.

So i called rogers about 4 different times to get them to delete it. they couldn't delete it either.

Eventually what had to happen was rogers had to freeze my account, unfreeze it, delete voice mail, re-add voice mail, change every password and get me to restart my phone. It was finally deleted after about 200 attempts by 8 different people.

Rogers suggested going to https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/ and registering under the do not call list. It seems to be the only way.

I have a Telus contract phone.
and i get scam calls.
also, my home phone does.

I don't think it's just Rogers.

The only people who call my home anymore is basically different states, provinces and telemarketers sooo.

I also received a call from this number on Feb 17/09 @ 1:11 p.m. I didn't answer the call because the number didn't look legitimate. In the past number of weeks I've received a number of calls from odd numbers (area codes 202, 818 & 410). Now that I think about it - this seems to have started SINCE I put my cell number on the do not call list. I also am a Rogers customer so I am thinking that perhaps they have sold a list of customer numbers to other parties.

I also received a call from this number. I am with Telus. I first thought maybe Telus sold a list to them, but then I don't think this is as sophisticated as everyone thinks. They are likely just going through all the combinations for a given prefix. It's simple! Doesn't seem like they are targeting anyone in particular, just random. It's easy for them to just have a autodialer call every number, in sequence.

Have 6 phones...all Rogers...all inundated with these 416-000-XXXX calls.  My other phone providers do not have this problem.  Rogers will not support at all...(not surprising due to their absolute lack of any support...they train their staff to sell cell's....not support customers.
