Have gotten several calls from numbers
    416-000-9971
    416-000-7954
I googled it, apparently the second number is a car warranty scam thats come around every 3 years or so.
I'm not sure about the other one, but I'm told that 000 numbers don't exist and are all scams.
I'm too young to even think about owning a car, yet the give me calls about warranty...idiots.

Same as everyone else, car warranty about to expire.  I am with Telus.  Does anyone know how to block them, I am on pay as you go and don't like my minutes being wasted on such crap.

I answered, pressed 1, and played totally dumb... Told them I JUST bought my car last week and the chick was like ooo did you want information on warranty.. I said it was a BRAND new car, it should come with warranty.. She said she would add my number to the do not call list... hopefully this stops it on my cell phone

This call is about extending you car warranty. I don't even have a car. This is a new scam that the RCMP are warning the public about. For more information about it, visit the Phonebusters website run by the Competition Bureau and the RCMP: http://www.phonebusters.com/english/recognizeit_warranty.html

    Payback Time
I found this on another post.  You can call them back at 800-559-0408.  Since it's a 1-800 number they have to pay for YOUR call.  I think everyone should start calling them back 10 times for each time they call your cell phone.

    What a crock
I was waiting for them to call me back and when they did I kept this jerk on the phone for about 15 or 20 minutes. They did the, let me pass you off to our account dept...blah blah blah. I spoke to the "manager" and then finally to "Neil Jackson". He tells me he is in St. Louis, while he has this southern accent. "Choice Protection" is the name of the company, so "Neil" says. The company is all over Canada and the US. He had every angle covered. First it was the credit card, told him I didn't have it with me. Then a cheque, told him I was getting them next week. I wanted an address to send the cheque to and then he figured I was messing with him. He begins to get irritated and tried talking over top of me and getting somewhat abusive but at the same time still trying to make a sale. These people are like dying animals.   416-000-9971
