It's the Toronto Public Library.  In my case, they were informing me of books ready to be picked up.

This is the library, they are good people and not collectors or harassers. They are calling to let you know your book is in

Phone number 416-393-7131 is Toronto library,  funny, I do not even live close to Toronto and have not been to that library.

Scammers spoofing the Toronto library number to  trick you to answer the phone.

I had a funny feeling about this as the number comes up as Danforth/Coxwell Library which is on the opposite end of the city from where I live and I've never been there. I didn't answer but it makes sense that a scammer may be spoofing this number as there is no reason that I can think of that I should be receiving a call from a library that far away.

Just TPL telling me my holds are in.

I thought it's a scammer as I don't have any hold request nor overdue fine.  In my case, they were informing me my (library) home branch will be closing temporary for re-roofing.  The call number is legit.
