Multiple phone calls, ID: OHP ONT CARBON, not sure what that means. Seemed to have gathered information from an incorrect source, spelling last name incorrectly. When asked who it was they hung up.

This number keeps calling me everyday. They don’t leave a massage so it can’t be that important.

Caller from this number stated he was calling o/b/o Enbridge to give us an opportunity to reduce carbon tax on our heating bill. Our address and landline number he mentioned were correct. He said that an added carbon tax component of the ENBRIDGE heating bill had increased in the last few months and would keep on increasing. With his scheme, he would ensure that it would not exceed $24. Then he asked for the ENBRIDGE consumer number to register the agreement. I then told him that I need to see any contract in writing before I agree to it. He informed that he would send the contract agreement in a day or two AFTER I provided him the number. I then cut the call.

Repeated calls from this number. Asked me to get enbridge bill. Told him I would not and that he should not be asking for personal information by phone. He said he was from the Ontario Home Protection Agency and that my carbon tax (as charged by enbridge in the bill) would increase. He had no knowledge of the repeal of carbon legislation by Ontario’s new premiere. This call is a scam.

Like others before me, I received repeated calls from this number. Call display says "OHP ONT CARBON." He said his company is working with Enbridge to provide us with a flat rate of $24.99/bill for 5 years. When I told him I want to verify he is indeed who he said he is by returning his call at the number I found on Enbridge's website, he refused. He said he has to call 4 millions customers and today is the last day that he's calling our zipcode. Once he enters into his system that I've rejected his offer through the call, it cannot be altered even if I call in later. That kind of system doesn't make sense to me. He repeatedly told me to go grab my Enbridge bill and he'll wait. I kept telling him I don't feel comfortable and I won't be grabbing my bill if I can't verify the authenticity of the call. This guy is very insistent and wouldn't take "no" for an answer. He said the call is recorded and he will send me the contract in 2 days. But everything he said is backed up by nothing but his words. Saw a call from this number when I got home from work.  Don't have voicemail, so no message left

After numerous calls I decided yesterday to answer a call from this number.  The caller went into a long diatribe about carbon tax and that they had received permission from Enbridge to make the call. He said that the call was being recorded and asked that I get a pen and paper to record the confirmation number of the call. When I questioned him further about his identity he didn't answer and insisted that I record the confirmation number of the call . I said I wouldn't because I wasn't interested. After several more attempts by him to get me to record the confirmation number and my refusal to do so, he hung up. A very weird call!!

They called me twice today. The first time I didn't pick up. They called a second time, so I picked up because of the OHP ONT CARBON caller ID. She even knew my last name, and started her spiel about how enbridge has increased their carbon/gas tax by a certain amount, and if I noticed it on my last bill. I just told here the person she's trying to reach doesn't live at the address anymore.

I had seen the caller's OHP ONT CARBON numerous times and decided to answer this one time.  Like most of the other people, he offered to lower my cap and carbon tax to $24.99 and kept talking over me until he started verifying my address.  At this point I shut down the conversation by saying I am not buying his spiel until I did my own research.  I made it clear I am not signing up.

Call from Ontario Home Protection (OHP) - A Telemarketing call which I think borders on a scam program to get Enbridge Gas customers to sign up for a "Carbon Offset Program", which results in a so called (verbal) "contract" with OHP,  who bill the customer through his Enbridge Gas. The billing amounts to $24.99 + HST each month. The customer is led to believe he will get a reduction of this amount ($24.99) in his monthly Enbridge Gas billing.
Why Enbridge Gas allows OHP  to do this is unbelievable.
It does nothing for the good image of Enbridge Gas in the energy supply marketplace.
Enbridge Gas should distance themselves from OHP and close the door on OHP and any other such telemarketing programs.

Just had a call from OHP Ont Carbon.  Besides the fact that the woman could barely speak English and had to actually spell some words for me as I had no idea what she was saying, it seems they have now changed their spiel from the carbon tax to backwater flow valves.  She wanted to send some on Friday or Monday, as someone is in our postal code then, to do a 10-minute evaluation of our valve.   I asked what she was trying to sell. Not trying to sell anything, just an evaluation of our valve to ensure it is working correctly.  I told her no one is coming in my house to try to cold call sell something that costs in excess of $3,000, and I hung up.

Got my gas bill on October 28. To find out there is extra charges by Ontario Home Protection. Called  enbridge and they put a hold on the account. And are returning my money from these fraud artists. They told me that they have had many complaints  about this company  Ontario Home Protection. On Monday I am informing the RCMP fraud squad about this company.  Check your gas bill for other charges from Ontario Home Protection. And don't pay them.

I received a similar call from these guys. Also had the caller ID OHP ONT Carbon. They asked to book an appointment to come to my house to check up on the back water valve, and asked if my basement was done. Had no clue what that question about the basement was for. But they sounded legit to me at first and i said yes to the appointment for the next day. They also claimed they are a company called "Safe Sanitary Systems". So i ended that call agreeing to the appointment. So that night i did my research on who this company really was and saw so many negative reviews. The day of the appointment came and i missed a call from the Technician that called to confirm my appointment at first. So i called him back and straight up said after doing research on your company i came to conclusion that i want to cancel the appointment because i don't feel safe letting you guys in my house, and he ended by saying no problem.

So my question for you was did you allow this company into your house? Did you sign any documents or get anything installed in your house for that extra charge to show up?

said from enbridge and wanted me to verify my name all pertinent info plus enbridge account number. i am on budget billing.. not sure why they needed me to state my name to change my budget billing.
