Con artist, advocate you owe a bill than does not exist

Obnoxious lowlifes called me July 9, 2020 from "416-673-7071" and didn't have the courtesy to take 5 seconds to leave a message.  Some posts report this is a shady debt collector "CBV" who are notorious for using multiple FAKE phone numbers.
These calls originate with scammers, telemarketers or fraudulent debt collectors who use fake/phantom/random generated area code "416" and other area code numbers.   These "hang-up" and "silent" calls are "phishing" or SCAM CALLS.  Their equipment REGISTERS IF YOU PICK UP and then you will be tracked as a possible "sucker" for even MORE calls!   They rarely leave a message like a legitimate caller.
NEVER, EVER answer these nuisance calls, even to argue or challenge the call!  DON'T ANSWER!  BLOCK THE NUMBER!  DON'T PICK UP ON UNIDENTIFIED CALLERS!    If it is a debt collector, they have no special power or status regardless of where they claim the debt is owed.  Bottom feeding debt collection agencies companies hide behind many different phone numbers and pretend to be affiliated with authentic government agencies like the CRA.  They purchase debts unverified in court for pennies on the dollar without checking whether the claim is valid (if a debt is legitimate a lender can file a claim throught the civil courts; making phone calls is just pointless harassment).  If you NEVER answer they will finally give up.  Unfortunately, they exist because they can take advantage of robocalling and weak legislation to prey on and intimidate consumers.   Like the bad old days of junk faxes in the 1980s these "boiler room" operations will fade away eventually.   These calls will STOP all the quicker IF NO ONE ANSWERS these unidentified or annoyance calls!                                                                                                                                            CBV is part of FLG / Frontline Group (https://www.flgfrontline.com/) headed by SCUMBAG President Bob Richards.    BOYCOTT THIS ABUSIVE COMPANY AND ITS CLIENTS!   CBV violates Canadian law by calling on Sundays and outside of allowed hours.  The company is
facing multiple lawsuits for using illegal methods.  A quick "Google" search will reveal CBV's sordid history of harassing consumers.
Finally, don't waste time reporting to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) or the voluntary "do not call" registry.  CBV actually shows the BBB logo on their website!   Like Credit Bureaus Equifax and TransUnion, the BBB serves fee paying corporate clients more than consumers.  The toothless "do not call" registry is voluntary and ignored by sleazy companies like CBV.

Thank you for posting this! They're calling me so many different numbers all the time. I click & report them all! Sometimes when I call back the number it's out of service!!! Obviously call masking being used! Isn't this unlawful?

Called & left a voice message. Stating it was regarding an urgent business matter.  Then a number & some code to quote. Well, I don't know what this matter could about. They call often & from many, many different phone numbers. Sometimes when I call back the number they called me from, it says, this number is no longer on service. Really? Ten minutes later?

Why would criminals care of something is unlawful? If they did, they wouldn't be criminals.
As for the number not being in service when you call back, it's called phone number spoofing.

Called and no message, its so sketchy, sometimes leaving a robotic voicemail about an “urgent” matter from a company I have never heard about, blocked them many times but they always get new numbers
