This phone number was used in an attempted rental property scam. The scammer used the number (based in Toronto Canada) to impersonate a legitmate real estate broker in Portland Oregon.

This same person, by the name of Steve Trego, is trying to rent a home in Birdsboro, PA.

Same phone number, by the name of Wendy Nettz, is attempting a rental in San Diego:

"Dear Applicant,
It's nice to know you have interest in my house,however the house is

Same number, only it belongs to someone named Regan Owen. The email address is reganowen01@gmail.com

This is the response that we received when we inquired about the property. It's very similar to the ones posted above. Be careful!

I was searching on their site and I found the original property that I was looking for on craigslist posted by him. He also uses this number (619) 990-3827 so be careful! I don't know who this person is but they are definitely out to cause trouble....

I also came across this number in a Craigslist posting in Chicago. Wow, glad I looked this up in google! What a F*ck!n slimer.

This F*ck Head is using a legitamate ad in Milford, New Hampshire on rentals.com to produce his own rental scam on Craigs List.

A friend of mine and I just looked into renting a house in Westminster Colorado from a Jill Schneider in Toronto Canada with the same phone number. He had the add posted on craigslist but it has since been pulled. When we tried to go see the house no one was there but it looked like someone was already living there. This Jill Schneider guy sent me an email asking us to wire a $1200 deposit to his wife Susan Schneider in Atlanta Georgia. We decided it was too weird so we started looking into it further. Here is what his email to us said:

I looked up the house address on the assessor website and it's owned by a venture capital LLC in Florida. Is there a good place to report these frauds too?

Same basic thing, this time in Marion, AR/Memphis, TN area.  I found it on Criagslist and e-mailed for more info.  Here is what I got back.  I'm really upset about it, as I thought I'd found a great deal on a rental.

This f**ker posted this reply to my inquiry this morning.  I googled the name and your posting came up, that is why I believe it is important to let the forum know of this latest scam!  He uses the email of Wendy Nettz [wendynettz@yahoo.com].

WOW!!! Once again Wendy Nettz out to get some more money. I responded to an ad on Craigslist for a condo on Camel Valley... All emails went well until he asked for a security deposit via Western Union. That is when I decided to Google him... and behold a scammer...
