Left a voicemail and didn’t say anything and I don’t know who it is

Introduced themselves as Scotiabank. Wanted some information. My smartphone identified it a a potential fraud.

Called two days in a row, I picked up the second call and someone with a heavy accent said “Hello” three times before hanging up after I said hello back.

IDed as scotiabank using my name trying to add life insurance, and then transfer me to another line. definite scam. this is NOT a scotiabank phone number

Received call no one at the other end, just a hang up.

I didn’t answer. No message left. I blocked caller and received another call from a different number the next day

Keeps calling. When I answer, it's a prerecorded message. I hang up before I know what the prerecorded message is.

Left no message.  Blocked now.

ID said Scotiabank. Called me at 8:30 at night which is when I usually get scam calls at. No voicemail left and I didn’t bother to call back as it’s obviously a scam. They called my fiancé earlier in the day and he reported just hearing silence on the other end.

This number also keeps calling on my number and reading from all reviews it seems scam to me.

They had asked for me and then hung up on me, they’ve called a couple times now

This was identified on my phone as Scotia bank…if this helps any. They call like 3 times a day, quite annoying!

The caller ID might say Scotiabank but that didn't mean the call is from them. Scammers frequently spoof legitimate phone numbers.

Called but didn't pick up based on all these comments ... seems best to just not pick up #s we don't know.

I got calls from this same number on Mar 30, Apr 6 and Apr 13 - which are all Wednesdays. Never picked up. And they never left any msg.

Just received this call. A woman claimed she was from Scotia Bank and wanted to sell life insurance. Very similar to one of the comments left above. She said she can transfer me to another line if I'm interested. Definitely a scam.

Good point. I am getting their calls Wednesdays around 8:30 pm in Toronto.
