- Lucky| 6 repliesCalled several times without leaving a message. I answered the last call and it was a woman who said her name was Sarah. She claimed to be a representative of TD bank and was offering to provide credit monitoring services for a fee. She sounded well spoken. When she asked me to verify the spelling of my name, i got really suspicious and told her i'm not interested and would call my branch if i changed my mind. She politely said good bye and we hung up. I don't know if this was legit or not but i'm not taking any chances.
- Caller: TD Bank
- DSL replies to LuckyThanks for sharing - keeps calling but no message
- Awareness replies to LuckyJust called me as well, no voicemail. Just calls and hangs up. I don't even bother answering. Better be safe than not.
- JoeCalled me 3 times already this week, I never picked it up and no voicemail was left.

- Stephanie| 1 replyA woman who claims to be named “Sarah” from TD. Definitely a scam
- Caller: “TD”
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Nimrod replies to Stephanie
So, your basis for deciding that this is a scam must be that you believe that TD has a policy against hiring people named "Sarah"?Stephanie wrote:Definitely a scam - MattWill not give up, keep calling .

- FreJust called me, phone said it could be fraud but I was expected a call so I answered it. Sarah from TD calling about a credit card promotion, her laugh came at a weird time and it sounded like a fake/recorded message, so I hung up.
- Caller: Claimed it was TD bank
- Call type: Scam suspicion

- Pudge replies to screwscamCall back gets "Thank you for calling TD credit card. We are calling to tell offer an optional service that is available to you. Please call us from the phone number on which you received this call. Thank you." Is it TD bank? Can't say for sure but if you want to find out, call the number on your TD bank card or the published number on their website.
- Samuel| 1 replyThey calling me about a month now never answered but it started to annoying me for sure spam no one will call this much
- BigA replies to SamuelIt seems to be TD bank calling about a credit card so yes, they will keep calling if you have not paid your bill.
- SS| 1 replyNearly two weeks i received calls everyday, with the last digits sometimes being changed from 0414 to 0413. Answered and it sounded a lot like an AI voice talking to me. Had an unnaturally enthusiastic tone, and made unnatural pauses in between her replies to me. Scam 100%. Same claims as everyone here as well about being from TD

- dumb replies to Lucky| 2 repliesI was stupid enough to trust her since the number was from Toronto and she sounded really nice. I gave her the spelling of my name, my email address and my date of birth. She then told me to say yes so that I have her consent to go along and send the email for the credit thing. Do you think she can do anything with this information?
- dumb as well replies to dumb| 1 replyI did the same thing, what was I thinking. Didn't say Yes though and hung up. Anyone know if name, email, dob can be used maliciously? Anything we can do to prevent this right away?
- Not really dumb replies to dumb as wellThose questions and information you answered are used to verify when you make a call to a REAL TD Bank assistant to make any change in your bank account.
The scammer might do the same by recording your answers and using them to bypass the TD assistant's security questions to access your bank account.
How do I know? I used to call TD Bank several times to make changes in my bank account, and they always ask me all these security questions, the same as the scammer asked you. TD only ask you these security questions when you are the caller, not vice versa.
I also just got a call from this scam number not long ago. Never pick up. Checked the internet first and came here eventually.
Now call your bank and let them know about this. They should guide you in resolving this problem.
