- DR ZOO replies to JimboYou'd be surprised how many people there are that don't understand things unless they're broken down simply, one step at a time. Not everyone is a genius. Keep up the good work, SLIM.
- LANE replies to LizMadam, this is the price you pay to live in a free country! NO phone company is going to stand over the shoulders and watch all the millions of calls being made every day, and prevent the bad guys from calling YOUR number! GET A CALL BLOCKER; it's the only thing that works! I refuse to let scammers dictate to me what kind of phone I must have.
- Linda replies to Uncle Almy call was the same MSMR Collins. I love your idea for your answering machine message.
- Nancy replies to Phyllis| 1 replyHow do you block calls? I think I tried once and I wasn't able to and don't recall why - maybe it was a 1-800 number.
- Robert replies to Betty MWhen you put it on the do not call list is where they get a lot of numbers. The Do Not Call list is given out to these criminals and told not to call it so to them it's their birthday and your number is a present. It is also legal for a company you do business to call you and any charity and anything political and companies sell them phone list. No one should ever put a cell phone on the do not call list as all cell phones are unlisted unless you put it out there.
- JAKERecently raised regulatory concerns about the massive transfer of mortgage servicing rights from banks to nonbanks are fueling industry hopes that policymakers may be open to addressing the issue.
The Financial Stability Oversight Council touched on the subject in a report released two weeks ago, suggesting the shift to nonbanks posed a potential threat to the system.
Bankers have argued that pending Basel III capital requirements are behind the change because they would force institutions to hold more capital behind MSRs.
The new capital requirements "penalize" community banks and send a "clear message" that they should not be servicing mortgages they originate for their customers, wrote Camden Fine, the president of the Independent Community Bankers of America, in a May 20 letter to banking regulators.- Caller: MSRS COLLINS
- Freddy replies to SlimSlim, I like that you explained it but, you could tone down the condescension bit.
- nancy replies to Phyllishowdo u block theses calls
- AJTypical scenario: call came in, didn't recognize the number, they hung up before leaving a message, then I went online to this site to see who these latest scammers are, since this was the first call I've received from this number. It's not coincidental the message is about Medicare Supplement costs, since the change period starts next month.

- RennocUsed to get avg of 10 robot calls a day. Two were from call center numbers of our health insurance company trying to get us to sign up for mail order Rx, and other programs. Wrote a strong...VERY strong... letter to company. Got a response saying they would put us on their "essential calls only" list. Guess what.... not only do we not get their calls any more, neither do we get any other. This MSRS was one of the constant calls. Been eight months and counting now with no robot, or 800, calls. Cost- one postage stamp. Guess we know who sold the telemarketers our number, huh?
