I got called by 418-690-8352 repeatedly for a week early in the morning or around supper time. After research, I found that it is Uni Marketing calling to offer newspaper subscriptions (La Presse). I said once that I was not interested but they kept calling and not leaving a message of course. I finally answered (after being awaken in the morning a couple of times) and make it clear (I hope) that I didn't want to be called (ever) again.

I heard that the number to contact them is (418) 696-4325. If you request not to be called again they are suppose to put you on their “no call list” for three years...

I got the same twice this week!

Thank you so much for this! They had been bothering me for a couple of weeks before I had the brilliant idea to see if I could find on the net who this number belonged to. I just had them on the phone now and they said they removed my number from their stupid list.

Thank you very much indeed. It's been 3 weeks for me. With the small difference that sometimes a lady leaves a message. Just asking to talk to me as if I had answered the phone and then hangs up.

Wow! That's fun! I had it lots of times this week and it was always asking for Mr or Mrs Whatever, each time a different Name. We keep on saying they have the wrong number LOL

Merci! pour cette information parce que je n'y ai jamais répondu à ce numéro 418-690-8352 et je n'en ai pas l'intention, effectivement ils sont très dérangeant, il devrait y avoir des lois plus sévère pour ça!

Je demeure à Montréal et je reçois des appels de ce numéros environ 2 fois par semaine sur mon téléphone sans-fil de la maison. À l'afficheur : Unknown name, et il n'y a aucun message.

J'ai reçu un appel de transcontinental provenant de ce numéro, c'est ma blonde qui a répondu et elle a dit que je n'était pas là, il n'ont pas voulu lui dire pourquoi il appelait.

Depuis environ deux semaines, je reçois des appels de quelqu'un dans le 418. Lorsque je réponds, ça raccroche, et si je réponds pas, pas de message. Je suis appelée comme ça le jour, le soir, la nuit je sais pas parce que je suis pas ici lol, mais bon, assez souvent.

Et si je rappelle, pas de réponse...

Donc, aujourd'hui, j'ai fait une recherche pour ce numéro dans l'internet (sans blague je commençais à avoir peur!!!) ET je me rends compte que c'est un robot de marketing qui m'appelle! Je ferais partie d'une liste téléphonique: le robot appelle à tour de rôle des gens pris au pif et mis sur une liste d'appel, et si aucune hôtesse n'est disponible pour vous parler quand vous répondez, le "robot" vous raccroche au nez. Non mais  !

Donc j'ai trouvé le numéro de téléphone où appeler pour parler à une vraie personne, et j'ai envoyé un char de marde au gars (qui était très calme, ça avait l'air d'un habitué...). Ils vont m'enlever de leur liste téléphonique, semble-t-il... sont mieux, les maudits

Call from this number gets in about at least twice a day, almost every day.

We're in Montreal, and have received a lot of calls from this number. I am bilingual, but the family is primarily English, and answer the phone that way. When we (I've never been there, it's either my wife or kids) answer, they (the caller) ask for me. They're told I'm not there. Sometimes they ask if I speak French (they're told I do), sometimes not. Either way, the call ends with a rude hangup; no thank you, no goodbye, nothing.

Our caller ID shows that they've called when we're out, too, but leave no message.

I'm going to call the number that clodjee gave (thanks, clodjee!), but first I'm going to look into whether there's stronger, more penalising action, such as a bad record with the Better Business Bureau (or whatever it's called here), because that's a nasty way to conduct business. They could at least be polite!

He trying to call and ask for my wife, I said that she doesn't speaking french then can you speak english to her or let me translate, he said thank you and never said who is he and reason to call, then right away within 2 minutes another phone call with unkown name and unknown telephone number, I pick up and right away they hand up twice, I though is the same person and trying call back this 1-418-690-8352 to see if anything important, and unavailable message is on then I search on the web and know that number is tele-marketing, I do not want them to call my house again, he can not even present him self or reason for his call, not honest at all? what I should do to block this number?

I also got calls from that number , 1-418-690-8352, twice this week.(Oct. 10, 2007).

Please forward information to www.phonebusters.com and click on the language you would like to see the information.  A friend gave me that information and if you look inside that web site, alot of information can be obtained concerning spams, frauds, etc...Don't be shy and submit a complaint.  If I'm not mistaken, they investigate all complaint.

I get this number all the time too ... Next time the [***] call I'm going to blow a whistle into the receivor and see if they like it.

Appelle pour s'abonné a un journal

aujourd'hui, quand je suis rentré chez moi, le volant de message de téléphone flash, mais pas de message, c'est très bizzare, absolument pas poli.  Le numéro de téléphone est: 1-418-690-8352,  je vous en remercie, selons ce que vous avez dit, je le sais.
 Je pense que nous devons appeler la police.

J'ai consulté ce numéro indésirable dans "http://www.canada411.ca/", par no. de téléphone, il dit:

"Aucun résultat ne correspond à votre recherche.
(418) 690-8352 n'est pas un numéro publié."

Il est vraiment malin.

If you want to annoy them at least a little bit, you can call the number back using *67, and then a recording says that they'll try to call us again. Before that recording is over, dial 0. It'll tell you that nobody can answer at the moment. Dial # and you'll hear a beep. This is Bell Canada's voice messaging service, you're leaving a message to them. Hit # again when you're done saying whatever you want, and you can even select 2 to flag the message as "urgent" for what it's worth.

The CRTC mandates that telemarketers be reachable for unsubscription at the number displayed on Caller ID. I guess in their case, it's only true if you're patient enough to discover how to leave them a message... Most likely illegal, but who's going to sue? [***].
