she is still at exact deal as the first post on here decided to look her up on the internet and this is what I found I did get a final email telling me that she reported me to the authorizes for a scam  what a piece of work needs to be stopped I think she or he is using multiple alias as I got two people contacting me about my piano both wanting to use paypal and sounded a lot alike

I got her text too.  Wanted to buy a piano.  Same wording in her email about being on a base in Colorado.  Wanting to do a PayPal deal and mentions Western Union too.  Scam!!

I am in AZ. I have a limited edition print for sale. Same story, lady phone text on behalf of Joy, contact her via e-mail only, she says paypal, take add down. I told her I don't use paypal, too risky for me, we will go thru conventional banking, $6000 here. I got nervous and googled her. WoW. thanks folks

I forgot to mention that I got the call from the first or same person from phone# 678 263 8458. I am going to google it and see where it is from. I might even call it. My FBI son In law will be here in a few minutes, I might give him the info.

This is actually pretty funny. I got the initial hey e-mail Joy Fruth non sense everyone else got. In my case though. I replied yeah this is spam. Then I got a response no its not. Then I was like I don't get it. Why don't you send Joy my link and take it from there. To which I got a reply "I'm mimi joys assistant". At this point knowing it was [***] I googled the e-mail address they were trying to get me to contact. Lo and behold. There you go hah.

The same just happened to me. Only its my drum set. The same message. I got a text from a different number though. Now they are sending me fake fbi noticed. Starting to get irritated

I received a text and email from this person and became very suspicious.  Says name is Joy Furth, she is on base in Colorado and to contact her at charhil31@gmail.com.  Also text came from 949-945-6855.  Wanted to go through PayPay at my full price for my piano.  Told me done deal without seeing it and to take ad down.  

The number that was used to contact me about my drum set posting on Craigslist was 848-218-5697.  And all the copy and pastes from the other emails are exactly like mine to the "T".  I love how Joy Fruth is always 'kindly' wanting something!!!  I thought it was a sketchy scam from the very first text about emailing this Joy, but I figured I can humor a few harmless emails just in case it wasn't.  Obviously it is a scam, thanks to all you for taking the time to post.

Yea this joy furth just tried to pull this with me. Here is the number that text me +1 (772) 266-3082 here is the email.
"Hi, am Joy Fruth, An Army in Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station
Colorado. I would have love to see this item but am presently busy
here at the base. I am Okay with your advert price and i will be
sending your money asap via PayPal. Do you have PayPal account cos i
have one that I can send money through. Kindly get back to me with
your PayPal info and also have the posting deleted from Craigslist
Asap...

It's a huge problem that Craigslist offers no way to report bad BUYERS.

Last night I posted an ad for sale in 'musical instruments by owner'  in Las Vegas, NV, home of Nellis Air Force Base.
I said I wanted a cash sale and invited interested buyer to come by so they could try out the instrument before buying.  I said text messages are fine and here's the complete history.

as I mentioned in the ad. I am willing to agree not
to sell it to anyone else if we can work out the details today. Once we
do I'll take down the ad.
I don't have paypal myself unfortunately. Do you have a buddy in Vegas
who could confirm it's as shown, pick it up and pay on your behalf?
Or if you'll be in town within a week, I could accould accept a deposit,
pull down the ad and have the rest when we meet.. or when I document
shipment (pics + tracking#) if that's better for you. It is exactly as
shown and described and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
One other thought - If someone you know at Cheyenne AFB has a colleague
at Nellis AFB, I could take it up there. (Would need to get met in
civilian area of course.)

have. Since I don't have paypal myself, I will need to find a friend who

reports this phone number is for a MAN with a reputation of scamming
craigslist sellers. If this is a false report you need to call me NOW to
clear this up. If you don't I will block you on phone and report you to
craigslist and publish this text transcript including to police and
cheynne afb authorities. If it's a mistake let's clear it up NOW.
Text me also the personnel officer's name and phone number at cheyenne
who can confirm you work there.

me 16:07 I told you three times that I have no paypal account. You claim
to trust no one but refused to discuss paying a small deposit rather
than full price by paypal, while not answering question about pickup in
person or shipping. this is bizarre.
You also failed to acknowledge the online reports in google of
craigslist/paypal scams from your number. You also failed to let me know
how to confirm your claim to work at the afb. If you are not a scammer
you must clear these discrepancies up NOW, which an honest person would
be eager to do! or I will report this all to craigslist, paypal,
cheyenne afb, my local police and petersburg ohio police.
I suspect you have a scam where you get craigslist sellers to take
paypal and remove the ad, then you do a fraudulent chargeback through
paypal. If this is not the case then you need to call or text me NOW. An
honest person would do so to ensure they're not even accidentally linked
with a known scammer.

Apparently she is still trapped in Cheyenne Mountain.

Right now I just got the same thing..."Hi, am Joy Moraga, an Army in Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station Colorado. I would have love to see this item but am presently busy here at the base. I am okey with your advert price and I will be sending your money asap via Paypal." Then they asked me to delete the post on craigslist. I have ran into people like this and they will ask you to go to a Credit Union and pay the credit union shipping fee(which they say is added to the money they pay you) but once you send that money, you are not getting it back. I didn't actually go through with the sale because I called paypal and asked if this sounded weird and they said... That is a scammer. Paypal doesn't associate with Credit Union or any of that.
Now the number this "Joy Moraga" used today is (331) 999-7877

Correct. The seller NEVER pays. Who would pay a shipper before the buyer pays them? As usual with these scams a 10 second pause would reveal the scam. Beware of any suggestion of a cash wire transfer service (Western Union, Money Pak, etc.) and prepaid credit cards. All of these are CASH. As in untraceable cash.

You can add (678)953-6974 to Joy Moraga's contact list.  She is so bad its actually kind of amusing.  Asked her where she was from originally, says Colorado. Asked if she ever lived anywhere else, says only Colorado.

678 is an Atlanta, GA area code.

Joy moraga and michal zalbot tried buying a bass. Same story.  Take down ad and she will send pay pal. From CO AFB. phone is text only several numbers.   SCAMMERS. unwilling tp purchase through regular channels. Ebay etc.

That ''Joy Moraga'' person texted me yesterday asking if my SH-101 keyboard was still available for sale. I answered yes. Then the usual message ''blah blah blah I don't have the time to come and look at it, let's do it through paypal'', then I was like omg hell yeah I'm gonna sell it! Then I realized: who the heck has 2640$ for a keyboard in the army? And who only uses the word ''item''?

Total scam.

Same story.  Joy Moraga, stuck at work in Colorado, wanting my piano in Maryland, trying to insist on PayPal when I said cash only, etc. etc. etc.  Pain in the ass.

I’d like to add. This is the second time this kind of approach has been taken on me in the last week. Some guy, “David” told me he would wire the full amount for the speakers, and told me to pull them off craigslist immediately. Funny thing though was he sent a MoneyGram for way over the amount I was asking. Then asked me to wire back the difference.
I Google searched for things to watch out for in internet scams. A few flags popped up including the one he tried to pull.

Received a text from 805-947-3715 for my craigslist ad today "Email  joymoraga@outlook.com with your firm price." Definitely a scam.
