Was called by this number yesterday, and by searching found out I could stop the calling by requesting to be placed on their Do Not Call list, and haven't received any more calls from them. The number I called to do this is 888-556-7682.

Just called, no message.

Called today, Sunday!  Caller ID said "MOD DEPT" What bleeping telemarketer calls on a Sunday.  Go BLEEP yourself, you BLEEPING Sunday Sabbath violator.  Telemarketers that call on Saturday are BLEEPING Saturday Sabbath violators.  These weekend scamblasters can go to the BLEEP and BLEEP there for eternity.  BLEEPING BLEEPERS!  Cow patties and road apples to all of them.

I received a call Sunday at 4:19 and 4:20 pm. I didn't answer and they called back again. I guess they will try today.

The "Mod Dept" called on my business line, offering to save my home. Pressed 2 to be removed. We'll see.

They called - I blocked.

Buy a call blocking phone.

Time called residence: 8:03 AM

Time called cellphone: 5:35 PM

Caller ID: Hermosa Beach, CA

Phone rang 3 times each time then stopped.

The same crooks and cons artists calling from a new number.  Is Do Not Call worth anything now?  Or the FTC? Or the FBI?

Call came but I did not answer--Mod Dept. Left no message. Plan to put on donotcall.gov.

Unwanted Telemarketer

Number appeared in my caller ID. I called 888 556 7682, gave them my number and requested to be put on their no call list for MOD Dept..  Recording said it will take 2 business days to accomplish.

Called on a Sunday, late afternoon. Recorded message said they are "required to modify my home loan". What a scam. Reporting to the DNC, FCC, and Attorney General's Office.

Got call at 7:30 PM. Didn't pick up. No message.

This is the first garbage call from this number today, that makes about 10 robo calls since 7:00am this morning. Interesting in that the FCC states that sales calls are restricted to the hours of 8 am to 9 pm. I can only hope that reporting to:

does any good at all.

Really? And where did you get this mysterious 888 number?

I strongly urge people NOT to call the 888 number mentioned - it has been mentioned on other theads too.

Nobody responded on other end when answered, they hung up after about 10 seconds.
Caller ID showed "MOD DEPT"
Now added to my long list of blocked spammers and scammers.
Calls from the same outfit also being reported at 424-241-1756.

And you got that 888 number where??  Sounds like a scam to me.

Play this fax machine tone into the phone when you suspect a spam call and they will stop calling you.

Funny, in the family business shop just a few minutes ago with my home/cell phone in my pocket. Both my cell and the business phone started ringing, both from the same number according to caller ID. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone there for a minute, lol.
