I received the following email message - I've noted the red flags in (_)

It was a pleasure meeting you at the fancy food show 2016 New York (never met, we scan all badges)
We are a leading wholesale and retail distributor based in Southern California. We currently distribute to over 50000 (50,000? Really? That's an absurd amount) independent supermarkets and some chain stores as well. Our specialty is  organic, non gmo, gluten free, kosher certified, middle eastern, etc.
I am very interested in your product line. Kindly, (hmmmm..."kindly") send me a copy of your full product list with its current retail pricing, FOB our warehouse in Northridge, CA.  Additionally, please provide the minimum required and any other information as well. I would appreciate some samples of you products (and here it is...he wants free stuff...can't wait until he places a pallet order) Please send them to the address provided below.

Received it this morning.  What a way to get a whole bunch of free products.

Asking my rep from Specialty Food.  If they got all of our information from them I think they should check on it.  They are not verifying their attendees very well.

I too received this message in connection with Summer Fancy Food Show; In addition to everyone else's comments... When I searched MDC Group, the most likely links I found were "marketing" goups, not "distributors"... big difference. I wouldn't necessarily blame this on SFA though; "Where there's a will there's a way" with these kind of people and I appreciate the fact that they are not nearly as anal retentive as New Hope (Natural Product Expo provider) is about show badge registrations. ;)

Got a similar email from attending Expo West 2017. Scam

Got the same message saying we met at Expo West. Sounded like a scam to me and then I found this page.

Still at it. Just received the same message saying we met at Expo West this year 2018.

Got this message as well regarding Expo West.  Looked back in my emails and saw he emailed us 3 years ago; i sent him samples and never heard from him again.

I got this today. Looks like he got some feedback and changed 50 000 retail stores down to 5000. Google Maps shows and apartment for an address.
