Scammers! claiming IRS filing "lawsuit" against you & call this number. IRS never calls people!

Phony IRS scam call threatening lawsuit...received on home and cell phone.  I will be Notifying news & to our AG.

Got a call from this #,an automated female voice track,indicating the irs was filing a lawsuit against me.

•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got a call from this #,an automated female voice track,indicating the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.

I got 2 voice mails saying the irs had a lawsuit against me. They keep calling.

Received the same scam IRS call from this #  with Indian accent threatening  a lawsuit and arrest if payment is not made. Asked where the office is located to make a payment tomorrow and was told " Call me in the morning. I will give you the information then . " I knew it was a scam. Thank you all for posting this information confirming what I thought.

I got this as well - at 10:46 AM - already filed a complaint with the .gov
