The best way to handle these repeat offenders is to buy yourself one of those blow horns that you can get in any sporting good store or in any sporting good section of any retail store. The first time they call you, write the number down or remember what they are calling about, these scammers seem to be pretty consistent on calling so you really do not have to remember a number. Anyway, always give them one chance to tell them that you are on the national do not call list and that they are not supposed to be calling you and that they need  to take you off of their call list. The next time they call, as soon as you recognize that they have called you once and you were polite in dealing with them before, hold the air horn to the phone and give it a good long 5 second blast and then hang up. Been there, done that and it works.

I received a call to the cell from Card Holder Services to reduce interest on my credit cards. Called twice in 2 minutes. I have no credit cards, never have.  I tried to speak with a representative but after giving my first name only they hung up.

Also to DEP and Bruce---You can also try the method I used to stop their calls entirely. When the "card services" scammers learn the person they're calling is a 'time waster" that number will be removed from their robodialer list. Google my name to learn the method I used---it's very effective and also a lot of fun, if you have the time to play with them!

I followed thier instructions to be taken off the list to be called. They said it would take 24hrs. This was my cellphone. We will see if this works now.

It'll take more like 24 years if it happens at all.If your number is removed from THEIR robodialer yours will be the first in history!!! Hope it works for you.

Received a call from this company today; I did not answer the phone.  I'm on a DO NOT CALL LIST.  What kind of insecticide is there available against these pests ?

I'm going to get an air horn ASAP, great Idea!  Also I like Clark Howard's scam sound effects, not sure how to hook that up, but I'll start with the horn.

I also get ALOT of calls for senior citizen protection.   I talked to a a real creep yesterday and I asked for his address and he gave MY address and laughed creepily - I could go on and on about that convo, but it had alot of f-words, etc., that I can't go into.

That guy and the other SOB's that do this, I believe deserve a special place in hell, one of the lower levels, and they must call each other constantly, for eternity and ask for donations of icecubes!

Got the call to lower my credit card interest rate - when I informed them i have no credit cardss and asked how they got my number they hung up

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them.

5.    People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office

Received a cell call while driving and punched 2 to say stop - claimed to be one of my credit card companies agreeing to lowering my interest rate.

Didn't answer this call from Kirkland, WA. No one should be calling my cell phone number. I can't imagine how they got this number.

This is was an unwanted call to my cell phone.

Put my phone number on do not call list and go this number with blocked ID
And got duped into placing them on my call list because I have relatives in Seattle.
Stop these people asap!
