left no message, called it from another phone and it is a promotion for something, they would not say what.  ???  Caller ID says SVC.  I blocked it.

Caller ID says SVC.  The only service they can provide me is to take me off their list.

I didn't answer - no message left ID said SVC. They called and let it ring twice then called right back and let it ring till VM picked up.

Prerecorded message: "The national center for chronic pain management has issued the following prescription pain pill alert: In an attempt to stop the growing use/abuse of prescription narcotic pain pills, America's national healthcare providers are now authorized to provide a new, experimental pain relief compound to anyone suffering from physical pain or discomfort.  This compound cream is directly applied to the pain-related areas.  It is non-narcotic and extremely effective.  This new pain relief compound is provided to you by your insurance carrier with no out-of-pocket expense to you and your pain relief cream can be shipped immediately.  Press 1 now to verify your address and delivery date.  Again, press 1 now to arrange delivery.  Press 5 now to notify your healthcare provider that you have refused this shipment."

have called us twice in the last 2 hours...just says SVC and leaves no message...so annoying

Must be making the rounds.....don't answer it, block it if you can. Scam it is a sales call. even though they say they are not.

Don't press any buttons if you do answer it.

Since when do we have a "National Pain Center" and when have you ever seen the US government launch a phone campaign to sell you something. Never.

Left a fragment of a voice mail with the same spiel I've gotten from other numbers: "The national center for chronic pain  . . "

We've been getting this call, but we ARE on pain medication - so it scared me at first, how did they know, or are they legit from my insurance company.  But it just sounded too much like a sales call or scam, the insurance company or my dr's office would have sent me a letter.  I am glad to know other people who aren't necessarily on pain meds are getting it, because I was worried that my information from the insurance or pharmacy or something like that was hacked!  (But I did press the 5, what do you think that might do?  I thought it might make them stop calling.)

Called but left no message. Caller ID said"SVC".

Called again today from a different number SVC 541-257-1434.  Same prerecorded message.

I have received calls from this outfit. They claim to be representing the American Chronic Pain Association, which has an on-going case against them.

We have learned that someone is fraudulently using the American Chronic Pain Association name in an attempt to gather personal information and sell products. Individuals have been contacted  by phone and over the internet.

We have notified the authorities of this abuse, but we also want to alert you to this matter and reinforce our commitment to protecting your privacy.

The ACPA does not:
• Share personal information, including contact information, about any participant in our programs with third parties.
• Ask members to provide personal insurance, banking, or other sensitive information.
• Endorse or promote any specific medication, intervention, or treatment for pain management.

If you are contacted by anyone purporting to represent the ACPA, you can call our toll-free number (800- 533-3231) to confirm the validity of the call.  If the call is fraudulent, please do the following:  
• File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov or call (202) 326-2222. If you are outside the U.S., file a complaint at econsumer.gov.


WHEN REPORTING YOUR CALL TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION PLEASE INCLUDE THE REFERENCE # FTC REF NO 54957803.  This will identify the ACPA and the fraud against us.

TWENTY FIRST CALL from this SCAM to our main phone#.  CREDIT CARD/SS#/MEDICAID# PHISHING SCAM.  Also uses the Caller ID of "ALERT", "ST" "URGENT" & "DRRECOMMENDED". RUSE of offering "FREE" 'pain-relieving creme' supposedly 'ordered' by your doctr or Medicare/Medicaid(which we don't use);if you 'refuse' they THREATEN to "report" you for "refusing treatment".  TARGETING the ELDERLY & SERIOUSLY ILL.  Claim they need your CREDIT CARD for "shipping" charges.  These people have called us 21 TIMES, even though we have NEVER "engaged" w/ these callers & have BLOCKED EACH & EVERY ONE of their EIGHTEEN DIFFERENT NUMBERS (but same RUSE) they CONTINUE TO HARASS US almost DAILY.  MAKE THIS STOP!  The other numbers are: 215-525-0073; 240-252-3089; 302-254-7802; 303-997-1453; 310-495-4617(3X); 425-406-9295(note similariy)458-201-1265(2X); 609-318-6226; 626-207-2465; 646-503-1885; 702-705-8393; 714-607-6430; 714-607-6440; 714-607-6618; 805-408-8317; 925-221-2018; and 949-256-6278.
