They left a message. "Are you there?" I am on the do not call list. It is not working. If the government is so strick on some things, they need to be on this.

The DNC does not possess a magic switch that can stop calls from bothersome/unwanted callers.  However, YOU do!

Yes, indeed - every modern phone (both landline and cell) has a cunningly placed, magic switch that can cut off those nasty calls.  Here are some ways you can use it:

Technique #1, requires NO action on your part, automatically switches the call:
If you have Caller ID (CID), and see a number you do not recognize,  or know it belongs to a telespammer, DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.  Instead, let the call go to your answering machine or voicemail.

Technique #2, for those people who MUST pick up the phone:
If you hear a telescammer, immediately hang up.  Activate that "magic" OFF switch manually!

But wait ... there is more!  If you pay attention for the next minute (or longer, if you are a slow reader), you can get your very own AUTOMATIC switch that will block calls from those nasty folks.  That's right, it will block ALL calls from the numbers YOU designate, for only pennies a week!

And, here it is ... simply google "phone blocker".  You will soon see a list of phone blocking apps, devices, and telephones that provide the "magic switch" for which you were wishing!

Google "phone blocker" right now, and end your dependence on a misunderstood Government Do Not Call list.  Create YOUR OWN Do Not Call list, and rely on your own ability to identify those telescum who bother you.  Then, next time you get a repeated call from a telescammer, you can blame yourself for not blocking that number the first time it called.

You say you are not satisfied?  You want more for your money?  Well, for a limited time, you can google "call blocker" and see if there is any difference between that search and the one you used for "phone blocker".  All it costs is a few keypresses, and should keep you happily occupied for an indeterminate time, as you read about all the devices and apps you have been missing.

Advanced users of this magic switch should recognize the Federal Do Not Call list is effective only for legitimate telemarketers.  Telespammers ignore the list.  However, those telescum cannot ignore YOUR list, since you can block ANY incoming call with a simple button push!  Get your daily exercise by pressing that button.  Burn calories, strengthen your fingers!  Be more powerful than the misunderstood Federal DNC list!

Tell your friends and neighbors about this "magic switch".  Share numbers.  Make more friends and influence people.  You too can be the life of the party line by blocking unwanted callers.  Empower YOURSELF!  Take control!

    and, have a nice day.

Said it was health insurance.  I have received multiple calls from multiple numbers.  When I tell them to take me off their list they hang up immediately.  They never give a company name.

That magic blocker so elegantly mentioned is a great idea but I would be blocking numbers all day long. I get at least 10-15 calls like this a day and rarely is it a repeat number. Most of the time I let it go to vm but there are times where the ringing of the phone is more distracting than the call itself. And of course, most of them hang up once I say "Hello".

    1. Check with your phone service provider to block calls. They usually will hold 30 numbers, but the method below
    is easier and much quicker...

    2. Panasonic phone.... get to your caller list, scroll til you find the calls you want to block. save them to caller block.
you can read how exactly to do it in the manual. It will hold 250 blocked numbers. My phone has gotten very quite since
I started 2 weeks ago. Plus you can block private callers with no number also...good luck

    Thank You
Their day will come when they have to face the Lord.  These are uneducated people that cannot find actual jobs. They also know that people do not think anything of them at all, and that makes them hate themselves.  They are sad and pathetic.  They are bottom feeders and they know they are.  What is hysterical is everyone knows they are scammers LOL.  I just blocked the number immediately.  Thank you for your feedback!  :)

    Tired of it all
I have this theory (and I'm a techno idiot, I admit) but I never started getting these types of calls until I started reading entries from Craigslist.  Never answered any of the ads, but just clicked on one or two to read more.  And they weren't sales pitches necessarily.  Just garage sales, etc.  Craigslist is the root of all phone problems, in my humble opinion.  If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer.  They never leave a v/m so I don't really care how many times they call.
