Got a call and didn't answer. They left a (cut off)voice mail to the effect that there was a "claim against my name" and call them to avoid court action. Someone please find out who they are and prosecute them.

Just got the same call.  Left the same message.  If there was a claim against our name we would receive a formal document by mail or fedex.

Got the same call.  When you all them, they are unavailable, ask you to leave your number for call back.  Keep calling them from another line (without your name associated with it), when you get them, ask them for their company name.  Don't give them your name, it doesn't change their company name, does it?  My guy just kept asking me to help him out by providing my name - he even pretended to know me as Suby??  He said (in heavy accent), please help me out so I can advise you what I am calling about.  How does that alter his company name?  Have some fun.  Tell them you are an attorney and need to know the complete spelling of their name.  Ask them if their refrigerator is running. . . .  Do they know Prince Edward InACan?

Message on my answering machine about a claim against my name. Call this number before it goes to Federal.... Multiple families live here and no name was identified. Definitely not how the court system works.

You can report them to the Treasury Inspector at www.tiga.gov.  I called the FBI and was given the number 1-800-366-4484 or the website mentioned earlier.  REPORT THEM AND GET THEM ARRESTED!  This has to stop.  Too many people fall victim to them.

Yep, they left a curious message about a Claim  of Fraud against (Didn't say a name) you and to please call as soon as possible to avoid any further legal action.   Screw them !

Same as others' experience. Cut off message saying there was a claim against me.
