Called me up. When I told this person who happened to have an accent to cut to the chase and tell me what he was after, he hung up on me. I called them back. Female who happened to have the same foreign accent answers. I ask the same question. She hangs up. Called again, different male who coincidentally has the same accent says hello Kevin. He apparently knows quite a bit of info about me and my health. I ask him who he works for since he has so much info on me. Double talks a lot, then says he's from "The Healthcare Assistance Service". Reeks of scam. Concerned about how he dug so much up about me though. Still searching for this alleged service.

4.2.19 @ 2:22 PM-- Caller ID displayed: "Scottsville VA" (434-212-1101)-- SCAMMER using a spoofed name and number.  They hung up when call was picked up by answering machine.  A LEGITIMATE caller would leave a message and a call-back number.  Silly SCAMMERS, 'tricks' are for kids!!!

This person name Jennifer was telling me about pain management creme and my ins. Should pay for it.  My doctor wouldn't have to approve it.  They would do the prescription for me.  She was wanting too much personal info so I hung up.

I'd like to get the pay-per-view concession for scammers/spammers being horsewhipped in public.  They're not quite as despicable as lawyers, but scum nonetheless.

The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received several complaints about Medicare scam calls from 434-212-1101, which came up on Caller ID as “Scottsville, VA”.  The LIVE female caller says that she is calling from the “Healthcare Assistance Service,” and is offering offering free braces (which Medicare will pay for) and pain creams and medications.  THIS IS A SCAM.  MEDICARE WILL NEVER CALL YOU.  Report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov) , Medicare Office of the Inspector General (https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/report-fraud/index.asp) and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org).   DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS.  Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs).  If you see that Medicare has been billed for a brace or other durable medical equipment or prescriptions that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org).

Caller ID read "Scottsville, VA." Woman asked for me by name and identified herself as with "The Healthcare Assistance Service." Said she wanted to make sure my medications were covered by my insurance. I told her they were. Thanked her. And quickly hung up. I expect it was a scam.

Scottsville, Va on the ID.  I never answer unknown callers and this one didn't leave a message.  From previous reports, I did the right thing again.  Whole area code is now blocked since I don't know anyone in Virginia.

Called, said was with The Healthcare Assistance Service. Told me that they had a new medication was available for my pains and that it was not available to by but my Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance would pay for it if my Dr prescribed it for me. Asked about all my aches and pains which I told him truthfully that I had none and then he tried to convince me about my knees then any other problems that I might have. Nothing more than a scam trying to convince people that they might have something that the medication will make it better. This is not the first one that I have received about some miracle cream/ointment to stop mu non existent pain, all wanting my information.

Called and asked for me by my given name which no one knows, only use on official legal documents.  I told her he was unavailable and she asked if I  could handle his prescriptions.  I am scheduled for major surgery in a couple weeks so I googled number to see if it was a scam as I  suspected .  Glad I  never gave her any information.

Same old pain management creme, most wonderful in world, etc.  They have changed their M.O. since the last time they called.  Now they want to connect me to my nearest pharmacy and then *I* (heavy emphasis that I will be the one requesting the cream!) When the pharmacist answers I will request it and then he will call MY doctor to have it approved.  I said "Mmmmm, I don't think so." And hung up.  Glad I have worked with insurance and fraud through my physician employment!
