I am not certain but I think they collect for Strayer University; I attended there for a year on student loans, and when I dropped out they started trying to collect on the tuition money they were already paid by the government.   It has been very difficult to get specific information and I hope other people who have been called and or harassed by them will post more details as they become available .... forums like this are one of the few tools we as consumers have to fight back, so please post anything you know...

Some chick real fast said something ACCESS this is Cherry and I said this is WHO and they hung up....I didn't even care to call it back again.

I think you are right, it is Access Receivables.   They are a collection agency based in Maryland and they collect for Strayer "University" and others....

Simple solution... When they call.. Answer it and tell them like I just did a few mins ago that this is a cell phone they called and they have the wrong person tht u just got the phone a few weeks ago.. it will stop the calls.. OR. if they are rude or harassing u constantly there is also the bbb.. "Better Buisness Bureau" or you prolly could call the dncr "do not call registry".. OR just contanct ur cell/land line provider and notify them that ur being harassed to block the number.. Other than that I could help anymore.

I've been getting calls from this number. They call and hang up. I got really pissed and called back. they said they were a collection agency. I don't have any outstanding bills and wouldn't give them my name.

I'm going to have to go to the government on them.

Calls and hangs up briefly and I can't answer and they do not leave a voicemail.

Unwanted calls

I received a call today from this number. When I listened to my voice mail, a man was moaning. Then he realized that it was voice mail, there was a pause, and he said "damn". He realized I have it on vm. I will find out who this is and report it. Sexual Harassment.

was unable to answer in time but leaves a message that anyone can hear by just turning on machine (medical bills) that would have been paid if was not already out of work for said reason so stresses you up more which is for said reason already

i can assure you they are not a scam, they were very helpful with me when i had to pay my strayer bill they worked with me and were very friendly. i even called strayer to verify that they were a ligit company and they assured me that they were. If i ever have anymore debt I would love for Access Receivables to be the company calling me!!

I have nothing but nice things to say about access receivables. they were very friendly to me and were even willing to help me out and help me understand my credit. maybe you should research the company before bashing them!!

I have received messages from this company and they say if this is not ___________ please call back so i can remove the number. when i received a call for someone else and called back, they were more then willing to remove my number and i havent received any calls since. i just had to tell them who i was and that it was the wrong number. they were very friendly to me.

i have received a similar message except my states that if this is not the correct person please hang up. and if it is this person please continue to listen to this message and that you shouldnt listen to this message so anyone can hear it cuz it has personal and confidential info then goes into this big long drawn out message where they dont even give you any information except for the company name and the person they are collecting for. so idk i called back and got my bill taken care of and the person i spoke with was very helpful to me.

I think if you called back the number and told them it wasnt you they were trying to contact and ask them to remove your number.

I find it funny how access receivables is posting replies to people bashing them. Hey at least you guys made it to the internet age. Not for long xD bitcoin ftw
