- meconI just got another call from these people today. They know about a health issue I have and claim to be there to assist. They showed up as Your HealthPlan 443-430-7201 on my caller id.
She asked me to confirm my birth date and home address before getting in to why she was calling, and claimed to be from Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield, never mentioned the name of the actual company.
I told her that it was disturbing that someone knew my information and was calling me to talk about it.
Nothing about this phone call felt normal to me, I don't care if they are there to help.
It is an invasion of privacy! - anonymousNobody called me but I've BCBS and they did send me a letter offering a similar service. My understanding is it's voluntary and I'd have to opt in if I want it. If BCBS ever begin calling me directly or through 3rd parties, I'd give them hell. In countries with national health care, this sort of service is used to reduced costs for the system (and not to deny health care because no one can be denied care) but in countries with *insured* health care like ours, whatever info insurance companies can glean from your disclosure *will* be used against you (if applicable) to deny future claims. If you choose to participate, you could be supplying the very info that will be used against you. Not only that, once you give out info, it's going to sit in some computer somewhere and who's to say it's not going to be sold or stolen sometime? It's your choice; I vote no.

- carol replies to RickD| 4 repliesYou are way off base. Healthways / Carefirst is benefit to you through BCBS. Its purpose is to assist you in staying well, prevent illness, and assist with illness when it happens. Once you get an illness it is too late for prevention, time consuming, and expensive even with insurance. This service is a new type of way that insurance companies assist their clients to keep from being hit hard with both short term illnesses, and chronic lifetime illness. If you had LISTENED you would have found out that the company is there for YOUR benefit, not meant to be harrassing. Your are the one who loses here.
- kkrcall comes from "Your Health Plan" recorded message, sure!!!!!!
- A Sane person replies to RickD| 2 repliesGet a life! Yes they work as an agent for BC/BS.....for your health !
They are not selling anything! If you don't want them to call just say so.
Stop blowing your own horn ! - LongIsland NYCI got one 2 ring and that's it.
- got tired replies to Peterthis nomber (443)430.7201 calls me once a month and no one answer on the other side.
- Your a fool! replies to A Sane personWhat kind of buiness is to call a client and then hang up? Then you call back and they hang up. Your an idiot or you work for the company. You should get a life and balls! Insulting some one who got to the bottom of an issue that is a nuisance is so low.
- BobI get a call from this number every time I rent a car. Never leaves a message, and I never answer.
- BeccaI'm baffled as to why I'm getting a call from this number, which appears to be a company soliciting enrollment in an education program from BC/BS. I'm baffled because I don't have BC/BS. Now that I know what it is, I will probably answer and sort it all out. I just never answer unknown numbers and I don't appreciate people who don't leave messages identifying themselves either.
- JamesI get someone stole my information on 859-283-8071 on it few day.But........
I get other call to-day ( 443-430-7201 your healthplan),
she told the health care plan from Oxford ,( I receiver the letter from Oxford before to told about the plan) ,I said ok ,but she told she don't have any information at her company,I told her you should have my information, I get a scam call on it few day to stole my information ,I don't want to give any information on the phone ,And she just told , I can call back any to join the extra plan with no extra fee .
I not really sure it is scam call or not ,but I learn it ,don't give any information at the phone anymore !!- Caller: Oxford ( Your healthplan )
- JWThis number keeps calling me also. They never leave a message, and I can't seem to get through to them. If they are trying to help me, they can quit calling and not leaving messages. If they are afraid to leave a message, they must have my mailing address and can do it the old fashioned way, or even use email.
- AllieThey call every day, once a day, at all different times. It's a computer-generated call, so after you say hello, there's a few seconds before someone says hello. Try picking up the phone and not saying anything. You'll hear someone after a few seconds.

- YariFINALLY a live person came on the phone. She said they were a nurse service associated with a healthcare agency. She asked if I was familiar and I said I wasnt but that I was familiar with the number because they call incessantly. She then said they bill $1 for every call they cant get in touch with someone and until they speak with someone they cant take the number off the list- The friggin nerve of this woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She goes on to try to explain her "service" again and I told her I was NOT interested.
These people better not call me again!- Caller: Healthways
- mariasuper annoying
- cristyi get calls all the time..they wot pay for my minutes..hate this people
- Caller: unknown
- pam jI have recieved many calls from "information center", don't know if it's the same people but now I have a letter from Healthways, envelope of BC/BS. It states "while you participate in our program...we'll keep your doctor informed of your health status". Insane! Worse, it says" participation is voluntary", but "if you do not wish to participate", apparently, you have to call them! What does that mean? I'm enrolled if I don't call? Also says I am to call if I "have been identified in error" How am I identified? What aspect of BC/BS is responsible for supplying names, Argus pharmacy?
- Caller: Information Center
- Joy replies to carol| 1 replyThen why is it i get calls from them and I don't have BC/BS. If they are looking out for people's health, how come they don't speak when you pickup their calls? Just a thought.
- Haikukitty replies to RickD| 1 replyThanks for this info - good to know! I appreciate the details.
- AnonymousThey sure are persistent. It IS Healthways on behalf of BC/BS, but they're extremely annoying - they call literally every 3 days. (Whoever said that they charge you for unanswered calls is misinformed, however - they've been calling me since October and I have never picked up even once. I have no extra charges that I shouldn't.)
Probably a useful service, but just based on the fact that they won't leave me alone when requested, I won't ever use it.- Caller: Healthways/BCBS
