UHC did the same thing to me. Shame on them. File complaints with Medicare & your Attorney General's Office....among others. Ty.

I have UHC and get these calls. They come to your home, invent a 'problem' so they can keep coming back. You don't pay anything, but they can bill Medicare for it. I read that the govt is investigating insurance companies that do this, as it borders on fraud.

This # keeps showing up on my cell phone as a missed call.  My cell phone is for MY use only.  If anyone wants to talk to me, personally, they have my land line # and can leave a message.  I'm old.  I'm not tied to my cell phone.  I don't have voice mail or text (I could but have elected not to) and have the ring tone on vibrate.  I know that UHC has my land line # but thankfully they have elected to put the cell # in their system.  I never know when they call.  Aren't I lucky............

Changing from UHC since I am having the very same issues as you. They have gone from one of the best to one of the WORST insurers.

All insurance carriers do this. Everyone so it is not just one company.

They call me at least twice a day. Never leave a message. I'm not interested in their at-home services, though I do use their Medicare Advantage plan. Just wish they'd stop calling me.

You are right to be suspicious. Health insurers are looking for more and more ways to deny claims. So if you fall in your home and they know about the throw rugs, well, there you go - claim denied!

I have received these same calls & they can’t seem to take No for an answer. Have blocked the numbers but they keep changing them. They leave a message that’s just a humming noise.

100% correct. They just will not take no as an answer. The only solution I've found is to just ignore any unknown numbers.

I had no problem getting them to stop calling.  I simply told them that if they did not stop calling that I would then file a TCPA lawsuit for at least $500 per call and that the next conversation they would be having with me would be in front of a Federal Judge.  Calls stopped immediately.  Even better would be if you sent that to them in a certified, return receipt letter.

yes it is United health care.  I have had them come over for 3 years and got the free gift.
The nurse takes your vitals and weights you..Does all the vitals.  This company really didn't help.me.
During those 3 to 4 years I have needed a total hip replacement.  .The only way I got help.was for me to see specialists..

These UHC marketing partners are persistent with us seniors aren't they? These people call from at least 4 different numbers in this exchange, and I'm tired of getting hammered by their unwanted calls. They want to send someone to the house to check on me and my surroundings so they can "help."  I keep telling them I have a UHC-approved doctor who comes to my house regularly for wellness checkups, and UHC has no problem paying for his services. I see only downside here, but that's just my OPINION, and someone else might feel differently. Personally, I just want them to stop calling me, and respect my rights and my patronage when I tell them over and over again that I'm not interested in any special "help."

All insurance companies do this now.  However, I had a problem such as yours.  I told the girl that she was to remove my phone number and never call me again, because if she didn't then the next conversation we would be having would be in front of a Federal Judge and that I would be getting awarded $500 per phone call.  Never heard from them again.

No caller id, I no longer answer the phone. Although I should recognize this number by now. I have never been inundated by as many calls from my insurance provider as I have been United Health Care. This will truly influence my decision during open enrollment this year!!!

Another method of attempting to get nurse house calls from UHC through a back door representative.  suggest all to block..
