They called my wife about my mother's estate.  WV is not a community property state and her probate is done and over with and no one ever filed a claim so they are barking up the wrong tree here.

No one is responsible for the debts of others,with or without an estate. Check the law!  You can only be held accountable if the debt is in your name as a primary or co-signer.

You can be responsible for their debts when they die if you inherit anything from their estate and spend it before doing what you are legally required to do, as a personal rep. .  I speak from personal experience.  The inheritance belongs to the debt collectors first. . . if there is anything left after a life of debt,  then and only then,  can it go to individuals named in a will.

So those of you who think you stand to inherit from a loved one's death,  you must legally wait 1 year in most states to allow creditors to stake their claims on the estate.  As personal rep for when both my parents died, you are responsible for posting the death notice in newspapers and contacting all creditors as well.  Get a lawyer,  even juts a call to LEGALZOOM website can help immensely if you are faced with selling an estate off,  etc. to pay for deabts.

This guy did not identify the company or himself. He did however call me Becky. Then he told me he was calling to assist me with the several payday loans I had out. He said he knew I was in trouble and needed help. When I told him I had no payday loans, was not in trouble, in fact my name was not even Becky, he hung up on me.

Personally I do not believe that complaining does anything at all. I have registered for do not call list for years, still get calls. I had Black List app installed on my cell, still got calls.

Look at the mess our country (the government) is in people - WAKE UP! Very few in politics actually care what happen to "we the people". Our own Prez, IRS, and who knows who else is up to no good. For one thing the love of money IS the root of ALL EVIL and it is rampant in the world we live in.

How about the many major storms we have been having lately? Biblical proportions don't you think and I'm not just sayin'!
