Caller reading script about US Treasury and if we hang up, it will go to a magistrate.  Seems like the same scum who are also using 631-729-5557

This number keeps calling and requesting private information

They or the individual called me while in the shower. Left a message saying I was suppose to call him back and if I don't I was awarded a appearance in court.

Why does the phone companies allow these people to harass the public? They could disconnect the number in a second! The US Treasury Dept. does not call people.

STUPID SCAMMERS!! Now they are calling my work phone!!!

Some recording of a man named "James Caston" with a foreign accent attempting to contact a person named "You," on behalf of the "US Treasury," stating that if I do not cooperate with them, I will be charged with an appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury. LOLOLOL I don't understand how these people actually get away with this **** and even more sadly, actually manage to scam people out of money and personal info with this BS!!

Yet another fake IRS!

I called the number back 469-424-2173, from a missed call, and a man (by his tone of voice in late 40's) answered saying he was calling from the treasury department and that I had miscalculations in my 2010 tax filings. It was obvious his first language was not English, and had an obvious Hindi accent, claiming he was Officer Mark Werner with badge ID 11738.  He stated that due to erroneous calculations in my tax filings in 2010, I had an arrest warrant against me. That I owed an amount of $6,930 and asking what I wanted to do, or he could send a police officer to my place. I told him to send the officer and he hang up...  These types of scammers need to be tracked down and arrested by the police.

This "Indian" tool was not even on mark!  But you would be very surprised at the number of idiots that takes these calls seriously and actually pay up!  That's why they keep doing it.  They buy your number from sucker lists suppliers.  Once they have they just auto dial away.  And no the phone companies are not interested in stopping these tools, it's revenue for them.  They use Google numbers that FWD the call to a real number that they pay a phone company for.  Yea some are shut down if they call the wrong number, but by them they have made some serious coin off idiots and they are off to another scam!  Also by calling these scammers back or pressing a series of buttons to have the caller to remove you from their distro list you just told them the number they called is alive and well and they sell it off to another sucker list provider.  And so the game continues!

Got call from this number with message to not ignore or there would be a magistrate involved.  Bogus scum bags

Just Recd  phone call at 10:30pm waking me up. Fits the story above. Read script talking about ignoring message will have to go to Magistrate judge. Calling Version tomorrow to report.

they called my mother, she asked me about it, and i told her not to call back because it was a scam. so instead, i called them back, multiple times, with false info, i even gave them the number of the actual treasury department as my phone number and they didn't even realize it! they told me the same dumb line about how i owed taxes from 2010, i asked what i could do about it and they said there was nothing i could do and to just stay where i was because the police were coming for me within an hour. they didn't even try to get money from me so i'm not sure what the whole point of it was. i asked them directly what the point of them calling me was and they said just to inform me. what a joke.

Received a robo call from this number. The caller identified himself as James Carston, but sounded more like a Johar Chopra. He had the same message about legal action against me by the US Treasury if I didn't call back and cooperate.

They leave threatening voicemails

I called this number back multiple times only to get a busy signal.  Finally, a woman answered (in what sounded like an Indian accent) with "U.S. Treasury".   I asked "who is this?".  She responded "U.S. Treasury".  I asked "the U.S. Treasury in Dallas?" and she hung up on me.  Background noise indicated some kind of call center activity.  Tried again but got the error message, "Your call did not go through, please try your call again, 144T".

Same crap us Treasury n I'm be in front of magistrate ppl need stop scamming n work for living gez
