- car| 3 repliesGot a call from this number yesterday,07/23/2018. Caller ID showed Microsoft Retail. Caller said his name was James and wanted to know how I was doing that day. He sounded like the same guy who calls from Spoofed numbers and runs a Windows problem scam, from India. I told him I wasn't doing well and call blocked him. Googled the number today and it shows that it is a valid number from Microsoft store in Dallas. It might be a legit telemarketer call, but I have my doubts.

- CenVAI get calls from "Microsoft Store" periodically. They never leave messages. It is odd to me that the retail store of Microsoft is calling me. Sounds like a scam from an employee.

- Daveyeah, this was Jerry from a bullpen style call center operation - lots of voices in the background. Same spiel about wanting to connect to the computer to check something. Hung up.

- Dorse replies to car| 1 replyLately, here and there I've noticed that some scammers spoof the number of actual businesses with similar names, in the hope of getting some who receive the calls to believe them to be legitimate.
- DorseCalled at 11:28am. Diverted by a free service I subscribe to that intercepts robo-dialed calls. (Sorry. I am not allowed to tell you or even to give a hint.) Well-known computer scam con; Google the number.

- DisgustedCall was @ 5:38 on 8/9. All that could be heard was parts of words -- like a gurgling voice -- or someone in water - disgusting! Similar calls several days ago which went onto a message machine...for 20 minutes or so of inaudible gurgling sounds...repeatedly called back when disconnected. A real troublemaker!

- Kmaz replies to DorseYes, I got a call from a scammer who was using the caller id and number of a local bank. What a bunch of losers.
- JoeGot a call today. Caller said he was from Microsoft. They have detected several virus in my computer. Will have to shut down my computer if I don't let them clean my computer. My response was do what you must and turned off computer,

- Joe BenavidesJust called me. Indian guy saying my computer is full of viruses and keeps sending the messages. That I need to get on the computer so they can check it out. Lol
- Ace| 1 replyI didn't answer when they called me the other day. Guess what? I don't even have a Microsoft computer and even if I did, I wouldn't answer
- Caller: Caller ID said Microsoft
- JCaller stated that he knew I had a virus, and needed to connect to my computer to check. I told him I know I do not have a virus, and how we he know without first connecting to my computer that I had a virus? No explanation, kept asking me “how do you know you don’t have a virus?” I explained that I know because I don’t give random people access to my computer. Further I explained that he would not be getting access to my computer, but nice try. It’s fun to play with these people. Just feel bad for the ones that fall for it. When ANYONE asks for connection to your computer, when you did not initiate a support call to an authorized company, do NOT give them access. Start asking them random questions, keep them on the line to waste their time. These scams are the most fun to toy with. Lol.

- J replies to carTotal scam. Not a telemarketer. If they call again, have fun and pretend as if you are doing what he says. Then thank him for the entertainment :-)

- DonitaI constantly get calls for Apple Device breach, I don't have an Apple Device, I've asked the numerous callers for this issue to take me off of their call list, a new call from another number calls the next day, this has been going on since 2017. They wait 1 month & start over again, am trying to keep track of & block all of the numbers, it's getting frustrating!!
