It's the "Faternal Order of Police Foundation" of Texas (TX FOB), asking for money donations. Get real!!! They need your monies.

Yeah but the crooks in the boiler room don't deserve one cent. Getting a lot of whistles in your ears lately?

FOP SCAMMMERS - Beware - flush your money down the toilet instead, at least you'll know where it went!

The so called highway patrole and police associations , fire departments as well.. are  NEVER recommend by the departments they say they represent! To get away with the legal issues, they give a lowery $1,000 oer year! Thats what Attny Generals office of Texas told me in response to a comlaint from me.

If you are interested in giving to any agency that actually supports the " good guys " .. CALL THE GOOD GUYS UP! And give knowing 100% of your donation goes directly to your choice of departments. I give to my local volunteer fire department quarterly. Its good to give.

Even if this is the FATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE FOUNDATION I don't believe they should be harassing people with interrupting phone calls.  I'm a 74 year old handicapped Senior trying to survive on Social Security. Who is the most needy them or me. The average cop makes $65,000 a year.  My Social Security income puts me below the poverty level. We live in a "Dont't Care World" today.

These people call here all the time. I am on the No Call List and they should not be allowed to call.

Just donate to them one time, and they will call often; hence, yearly at different times asking for donations for the Sherrif Dept, Cancer Ass., Firefighters Ass. etc...These scammers as I would consider them, never
stop. They even send a sticker with the year's date to look authentic.
Just call the same number back, and they will never answer. One time I
called back, and since they did not want to answer, placed the phone down
and let it keep ringing, just to annoy them whereever they were(CHING!).

Called 9-17-2009 @ 13:33, left no message and not answered.

Another bunch of scammers harrassing senior citizens on Social Security. We were warned by our local newspaper and television station that these people were calling, soliciting funds for our local police department. We don't live in Dallas, Tx.

it has nothing to do with elderly social security.  ITs the texas fop foundation.  Charity work for local police, families with fallen officers and what not.

Just a paid solicitor, if the FOP get anything, it is likely less than 10% of what they caller collects.  DON'T GIVE THROUGH THIS PRESSURE ORG.

The rest they keep as "operating expenses" (profit). One of their tactics is to act as if they are actual police officers when they ask for money.  They are not.  Only give money to this company if you think dontating money to a for-profit company pretending to be something they are not is a good idea.

Nuisance Call.  We never donate money on the phone.

dont do it over the phone...go to the website.

I know this group and some of the members. They use the majority of the funds to support their drinking habit and they have for years.  Give your money to a group you look up in person instead of these guys.

Repeated calls. Anyone know how to get them stopped.

I received a call from ("FOP") the phone number is 281-763-7522 on November 2, then "FOP" called again using a different phone number 469-718-0642 then again on November 3 from yet a different phone number 940-295-1889.
