Same here. Out of state and not on my list.

Called about a recent service I had. I will be asking the service how they got my information.

It says sms link service but it rings to my voicemail !! Been doing this for months

They called pretending to be Bank of America and wanted to confirm two large purchases.  We don't have an account with that bank.

Fraud -  A home warranty plan taking money out of my account I didn't have.    Reported to my bank.

This scammer called from a restricted #claiming that their were important papers they were trying to deliver to me, but I wasn't home to rcv. Called several family members trying to get info as well. Looked up business. Scam. I reported to FTC

Since the FTC does not take debt collection complaints because that is under the purview of the CFPB I can only surmise that you lied to them about what the call was about.

I got a voicemail that said:

"This message is to notify you of a pending matter in our office that is in the process of being reviewed today. We will be verifying your current address as well as place of employment for delivery of the proper documentation at this time. It is your right to contact the office directly at the number shown on your caller id or press one now to speak with a manager today. This will serve as your official notification by phone. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter."

I'll let y'all know what this important matter is about. Based on the posts here it sounds like a scam.

A rude guy answers, doesn't say a company name. He just says "How can I help you" He says he is looking for someone. I said you have the wrong number, so he hangs up the phone.
