Had a bizarre text from this number saying: "You knows what's on the menu? Me-n.u." I then said they had the wrong number, and they said no, I didn't. They saw my pics and wanted to hook up, and I was confused. I saw what pics? What the heck? But suddenly I received texts too long to have been genuinely sent  in the length of time I looked at the message. It claimed they had been looking for people in my town. It then said the number was from "Adriana." I figure it's a bot, but who knows. Creepy nonetheless. Added to spam block.

To reduce the number of unwanted email and texts you receive, use these tips:

Be careful about giving out your mobile phone number, email address, or any other personal information.

Read through commercial web forms. Some websites allow you to opt out of receiving email from partners – but you may have to uncheck a preselected box if you want to do so.

Check for a privacy policy when submitting your wireless phone number or email address to any website. Find out if the policy allows the company to sell your information.

Do not respond to unwanted texts or emails from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers allow you to forward unwanted texts by simply texting it to 7726 (or "SPAM") to block the sender. Check with your  provider about other options.

Use a "junk mail" or "spam" email filter.

Hey Alfalfa,

I actually thought it was a real person since I've gotten wrong numbers in the past, but you were right. I shouldn't have responded. It just really spooked me. It's been added to my spam numbers though. Seems many 470 area code numbers have been "Adriana." In the future, I'll use the spam report number and delete it.

I just got a text from this number  and BEFORE i responded to say, Ooops! You Must have the wrong number, I "googled" it and found this site. Thank goodness!!

My text said:I am dripping with love and desire for you

Woo! This is a relief. I was scared I was being targeted, but it's nice to know it must have really been a bot. Texts have stopped after my block was put into place. Here's hoping you had the same luck!
