I picked up and listened while on mute.  No recording, probably waiting for a voice trigger at my end, the robocall disconnected.  I then called them from my anonymous burner phone, just to see what to say here.  It's the typical "back brace hotline" scam call, and the guy had a heavy Hindi accent, I had to tell him to actually SPELL what he was saying, which pissed him off.  So it's the Mumbai Mafia scam about back braces, and of course they're ignoring DNC.

Folks, I worked for orthopaedic surgeons and neurosurgeons for 16 years.  You're going to need to see a doc to get a prescription to cover payment for Durable Medical Equipment anyway, and only a doc knows if you actually need a back brace, not some high-school-graduate scammer who doesn't know medicine, and doesn't care if your symptoms may indicate a much more serious disease entity.  The crap they're selling is of mediocre quality, as well.  And since they're illegitimate, criminals, who knows what they would do with your personal data?

If you still want to try an over-the-counter brace, get one locally at Walmart or CVS, the mediocre quality would be the same but you can still return it, and can see it before you waste your hard-earned money.

Every doc I ever worked with already has their own close, working relationship with local orthotists, who will work with your doc and fit you properly with what you really need, If you actually do need a brace.  And they will do all the paperwork for you, too.  It could be that a brace isn't what you need at all, and could even make that area weaker or worse.  It's a bad idea to become dependent on a brace that will weaken the muscles.  You could just need physical therapy or a home exercise program, or NSAIDs or other medication, or weight loss, or acupuncture, or contrast application, and so on.

Back pain can arise from other serious problems that need diagnosis (I don't want to scare you), and buying crap from these scammers would delay diagnosis and treatment.  They called despite my being on DNC.  That by itself says they're criminals.  Ignore the call, make fun of them, but don't buy from them.

I didn't recognize the number and let it go to voice mail. They didn't leave a message and now are blocked.
