This person called and asked for a person and when I said I don't know them they said well maybe you can help me

I got a call from this number and the person on the other end said he was looking for donations for a police memorial fund. I hung up immediately as these are usually scams and we just lost a deputy sheriff during a traffic stop less than two weeks ago, so they are targeting people in our area.

Asked for someone else, then said maybe I could help them and proceeded to hit me up for donations for women's issues & for screening etc.

Got a call from this number too asking for a relative. No idea how they got the number or family's names... It sounded like a machine woman

Got a call from this number. It was a man in a country accent that said "Hey is Cynthia There?" I said "This is her" and they hung up immediately. Called back immediately and the number has been disconnected. Probably scammers. I'm hoping that because I didn't say "yes" nothing can be used to open false accounts in my name. 6/21/17

you had said "yes" nothing would have happened. No one has ever been scammed that way, unlike the many real scams where people have lost millions. Bet you haven't heard about any of them though have you?

Scam.  Calling for donations to the Disabled Veterans program

Got a call from this number and I didn't answer. I didn't ask for the solicitation.

Called me and when I said hello. Hung up . I decided to check number

They just called me also asking for the disable veterans donations.

Asked for me by name and said he was with with Disabled Veterans. I told him I gave nothing by phone but he could mail me information. I said thanks and hung up before he could reply.

just got a call.  asked 'may I speak with (my name).  when I said this is she, he hung up.

Robo call sounding voice called looking for someone else but when I said no one here by that name replied "well you can help" and asked for donations to the American Disabled Veterans. I said a curse word and the voice said "Okay" and hung up.
