Text supposedly from debt collectors Unifin.  I have no debts, so likely a scam.  Blocked

They're still at it. Received same txt twice this evening. About a hour apart. Their domain is in Caribbean island of Anquilla.

Received text like multiple others claiming they're from Unifin about a debt with a reference code and sketchy looking link to an AI.

I got the same 470-397-5724 text message asking me to call 800-276-3744. I chose to go through the front door of Unifin, Skokie IL at 888-572-3987. Didn't even have to go through a phone tree, I went straight to a rep. I had the advantage of knowing (sadly) that I inherited my number from a skip and had a name. I gave the rep the ref # and explained that she hadn't had the number in over 3 months. The rep was very polite and said she would remove my number from their files. The whole thing seemed to be legit. Wicked easy. The whole thing seemed to be legit.

Just like it says it is a debt collector.  Most people have never heard of a debt collector  until one contacts them.

They messaged me about collecting a debt. I don't even own a credit card. The only thing I'm paying off is my computer which I've been paying on time, this is definitely not Unifin.

Since the proof has been posted that it is Unifin then why don't you tell us how you came to that conclusion and what methods of research you used?  Unifin doesn't have a good reputation and now I am wondering if they are sending people here to misdirect them away from that company so that they don't get sued.  I'm thinking that maybe you work for this outfit?

I just received the message. 100% a scam. It’s very popular for people to receive scam messages claiming to be Unifin. Many have received the “Unifin Scam Message” lol. Just block em and go.

They are scammers. Unfin /,!while a legit company, these guys are not!! Do not call back the number 800-276-3744 and LOCK YOUR CREDIT REPORT with all agencies. I have no debt and pay all my cc on time. Chceld credit reports and nothing reported there just to be sure. This text is a scam. LIFELOCK WILL CONFIRM THIS IS A SCAM. Do not give them any of your financial information, not even the last 4 of your social! IF you feel you must call, look up Unfin on Google and call that number directly. Don't call the number sent to you or click the text.

I don't have an eBay card. I never have this is a scam wanting you to click on a link.

Receiving vms and now a text from 470-397-5724 for debt collection for $161.51.  ??  I have no unpaid bills and am not clicking any links.   Looks to be scam according to above user input as I have received no late bills or notifications from anyone I have accounts with regarding this in paper form.
