Phone rang 4 times, then nothing. Number comes up to a roofing company in Scottsdale AZ (Sellect Roofing) that has an F rating from the BBB. And of course they are violating the DNC which is pretty much worthless.

Illegal operations do not care about the law.

These losers called me, too.  Of course they do not care about the Do Not Call list.  

I never pick up these calls but I surely wish our government would do something.  The Do Not Call list is a big joke.  They never do anything and when they do go after one of these scammers, the fine is small.  Very low penalties.

Maybe we should all start doing this.  Obviously, it is a crime you can get away with.

This number just called me as well. Also on the DNC list. What a joke.
Caller didn't leave a message. I looked up number. Its a roofer. I live in a apartment in Tucson. He wasted 1 minute calling me. I wonder how he got my number because my phone number is based out of Illinois... Hmmm..

i have rec'd calls from this number numerous times. Due to the sheer number of scam telemarketing calls i get, i have turned off my voice mail and ringers. i use Caller ID to screen calls. i use Cox for my landline and can monitor incoming calls to my line on their website throughout the day. Sometimes, i will call a number that has called my home from my work phone to see what happens. Calling this number back i learn that it is an Arizona Fraternal Order of Police charity scam. All automated, of course.

I got call at 500pm today 6-18-14.  Called them back as it only rang one time.
It was an outfit soliciting for the "police".  Turned them down.

I also have Cox for my landline, and here's how I handle it.  Since they offer selective call forwarding I took their number and have routed all of my annoying callers to them.  Now they get all of the calls from people trying to scam me.  The legitimate charities that call simply get blocked.

Called three times today - so they are doing roofing scams and Fraternal Order of the Police scam - or spoofing the roofer's number.  If you want to be proactive, here are other numbers they are using:

A friend with the FBI answers these calls as "FBI"  That stops them dead in their tracks - they hang up and never call back.  For customers with Century Link - as part of the service you can dial *78.  this gets you to a number of additional services (that you don't have to pay for).  One of them is "call rejection".  Once you add the number to the list, you NEVER hear from them again.  Downside is that it only takes 25 numbers.  Another part of that service is "no solicitation".  That allows you to block the calls as well.
For the Cox subscribers, call them up and ask if they can add these services.  If they want to compete for business they may add these services.

This is a 'spoofed' telephone number.  Roofing, Fraternal Order of Police, HVAC, just about every 'illegal' outfit uses this number, or a variation of it.  Like dd stated, Cox has services you can use to stop these calls, but I REALLY like the idea of forwarding them to your local FBI office!  GREAT IDEA!

The person on the line said they were from the fraternal order of police, and when i made a commitment they would send me a packet. I said send me the packet then we will talk. and hung up
They want money for the families.

Call is from a fundraiser outfit claiming to represent the Fraternal Order of Police.

Heads up this number is being generated by a robo dialer for a car warranty scam out of India.
